Hello, thank you for the tutorial. I am not a professional and I will try to make a birthday cake for my son (my experience is only with cakes for my family). So far I have used sugar paste to make the decoration figures. Since I don't have any experience with fondant, do you think that the lion could be done with sugar paste too? Thank you!

Yes, you can make it easily with sugar paste too.

Sugar paste is best for figures. It drys and hardens faster than fondant. If you add a little cmc or tylose powder, it becomes sugar paster

Is this fondant or sugar paste... if it is fondant, is it hard enough???

Hi, It's fondant. Yes it's usually hard enough in cool room temperature and less humid weather.
