I love all your tutorials, Ellen. Besides all the wonderful teaching talent you offer, I have to say I’m glad you don’t try to “hard-sell” a line of products like some artists on KZfaq do- usually their own line of paints and brushes. That is a quick turn-off. But I appreciate how YOU focus on teaching us, and not on selling products. Thank you! ❤

The energy is delightful! To start out, I bought a set of paints with 50 colors, but I love to see you mixing your simple palette and getting all these wonderful, varied shades. Your final painting shows the vibrancy of paint mixing and flowing with the energy. Thank you so much! ❤️

Thanks so much for this loose painting tutorial. I had fun painting this one. It kind of took on a life of it's own as I made it work using just one brush; a Princeton no 10 Velvet touch since I don't have a 10 in the Aqua Elite line. More of the Aqua Elite brushes are on my Christmas wish list. :) I do like how their bristles come to a nice point and stay that way. I found that the Velvet touch kept splitting.

I 💖💖💖 your artistry & your teaching! I’m SO financially invested in the card making frenzy. I love coloring my card projects most of all. Since finding you, l SO enjoy following your tutorials, yet thinking l’m doing EXACTLY what you’re demonstrating, somehow mine don’t quite turn out quite like yours! 🤪 You have that natural divine gift! Thank you for the time & instruction you share. Also your palette looks ceramic, (want!) the Meeden link brings up a tin with the little tubs, nothing like what you’re using here. 🫶💖 Thx again!

I have just done this. I used greens and burnt umber for the branches, but in the middle it is a horrible brown mess. I am going to have another go with 2 brush sizes and let the paint dry more. Being impatient doesn't work lol With loose work sometimes it is difficult to tell whether it is a 'mess' or it is a moving abstract or impressionist painting. Sometimes I need someone else to look at it to see if it is a mess or not. I think my 2nd attempt will be a lot better.
@beaulieuc8910
@beaulieuc8910 Жыл бұрын
Update: I used a rigger brush for the fir branches as I thought it would give me more control and I liked the mix of dry and wet paint. I used a different brush for the berries as my berries with my other brush made them go a bit it crazy. and not round. I thought I would play safe and not too too many branches to risk me making another muddy mess. I will use gum arabic to bring a bit of shine instead of the gold paint, so much better this time round.
