Grew up listening to all types of music. After the family ate dinner, my parents, brothers and sisters would listen to the radio or watch TV for entertainment. When this song played on the radio, mom + daddy would either look 😍at each other and 🎤sing 💋this song or💃 dance🕺. What a warm and fuzzy feeling this gave back then. Now it takes me back with😥 tears😂 in my eyes. Just love❤️ this song ❤️and all the💖 memories💕.

When this came out in '71 I was just starting to date the guy who would be my husband for nearly 48 years. I called it "sort of our song." Now when I hear it I'm taken back to the wonderful dating years. Thanks for the memories and for a beautiful song.

Just remembered this beatiful crossover hit from '71. Loved it back then, still love it today. Tried to sing along with it to my girlfriend but she plugged her ears and howled.

Freddie Hart was 15/16 years old fighting in the South Pacific as a U.S.Marine! He later became the self defense instructor for the L.A.P.D.! A co-worker of mine was at one time his touring drummer!

This reminds me of when my grandmother was still here. She always used to say "never knew a big man like that could have such a soft voice" she loved Freddie. We lost her in 2014 but it feels like a little bit of her is still here when we play her favorite music.

LOVE this song--should have played it on our 49th wedding anniversary on April 2, 2022!! We considered it our song!!!

This brings back so many memories of watching my Dad listening to this song on the record player on my parents console stereo back in the early 70's. Remember console stereos? But in the mid 80's my Dad was looking for a replacement console stereo. I found out the price and my jaw dropped. I took them over to a modern stereo store and had my Dad and stepmother listen to a modern separate component stereo system( Techniques phonograph, Kenwood dual cassette deck, Pioneer high wattage main unit and JBL 3 foot tall speakers with 10" woofers) which was $200 cheaper than the console. But I still do get nostalgic when I see a console stereo. It's kind of like seeing a clean 1970 Dodge Challenger. You know that the new ones outperform the originals in every test you would compare them in. But the originals just have a simplicity about them that is charming.
