I came from the card making world. Before digitals. I had stamps, lace, buttons, eyelash yarn, napkins, Fiskars decorative edge punches and dried flowers. Always gravitated to the vintage style. I studied Somerset Studio magazine by Stampington Publication. This was long before KZfaq. I’m still learning thanks to artists such as you. I still find myself making cards, but now journals just become a continuous 4/5 page card.

Oh wow! I've never seen this done this way. I can hardly wait to make some cards. I love to use napkins for crafts but am always afraid I'll tear the napkin. I love the feel and look of napkins glued on paper. Thank you for sharing this technique with us.

When at a get together or party, ask for some extra napkins to take with ya❣️. That's how I get alot of mine😊 Ever go one more step with plastic wrap?! Place wax paper or waxed cooking sheet over wrap while it's on card & iron over it? Seals really nice & adds another look😊

That's a neat trick with the double-sided tape! My trick for labels and stickers is similar. I use a long sewing pin for label backs. Put the label or sticker face down, run the pin almost parallel to the back, and "prick" the back toward the edge of the sticker and it will "pop" the back up so you can peel the back and attach the sticker or label. I really like these cards. I need to check out Dollar Tree or some of the discount stores for pretty napkins. That is one thing for crafting that I don't have. And such a good idea to ask for extra napkins, except the places I eat have either brown or white napkins!! I love the idea of stamping on the edges of book pages. Now I need to try some of these techniques! TFS 💖💖💖

Deceivingly simple super effective. ❤ I usually do a couple acrylic paintings ( seasonal) that I photo copy onto 5x7 glossy photo paper or set it up on computer to print 4 of the same onto inkjet prepped art canvas. Once done pop into a card frame or glue to a postcard. What I like is the ability to manipulate the colors on computer. Using tissue would be an entirely new look.. so cool❤ Thank you. Trips seem to go so fast.

I make all sorts of cards, mostly using stamps and dies, but I make “scrapbook” type cards as well. Have never made a fancy fold card, and probably never will (I don’t have the patience). These cards are lovely, and yes, you’re also a card maker. ☺️ I love your trick with the double-sided tape; I’m famous for crooked cards. 😥

This is a very helpful video! I often see sets of cards and envelopes in colors that I like, but the decoration on the outside of the card isn’t my cup of tea. I never thought of using the cards as card blanks for collages.
