Mine is a 04 and it threw the code. But i agree with you. Some test pipes come with them integrated like the Z1 set. I’m not sure what company these are. They where already installed.

Yes. I recently installed new test pipes and after driving for a while the check engine appeared. So recently today I bought some defoulers at pep boys for 7$ and reset the codes and it hasn’t turn the check engine. I hope it doesn’t turn the check engine after driving the car more. @@ericareizaga8374 that’s a great. I haven’t had any issues with mine. Until recently. But it’s unrelated. I have an exhaust leak right after the test pipe. And i heard it when it happened and like 3 min after the leak started the light came on. I just need to fix the leak and it will be all good. So if you happen to get and exhaust leaks. The test pipes where on the car when i bought them. But i looked at them and they look like generic test pipes. No name brand. And no the cel has not returned.

Yes the defoulers are standard o2 sensor thread pitch. So if your O2 will fit. So will the defoulers

Yo don’t “need” a tune with basic bolt on to drive your car. Although with a tune your car will run better and make more power and tq being that it has been recalibrated for the freeer flowing exhaust and intake. So no you don’t need a tune. But it will be better with a tune. Make sense?

Currently i have over 200 miles since the mod and no check engine light. I scanned my car and read the O2 values and it reads like it has a cat

@@MonkeyRenchGarage the same thing P0240 (think I said it right) but it's the same two that I put the defoulers on.. it went off for about an HR or so and then popped back on again.. (High flow cats, and 02 sensors are all New)

If you have hi flow cats you shouldn’t even need this mod. I have test pipes which is why i needed it. But you got this code without the defoulers? How does the car drive right now? Does it feel under powered?

It could be the o2 sensor is just bad. But also check the exhaust and make sure you don’t have an exhaust leak at the beginning of the cat if you have one.

Check you maf sensor 01273 has a few things that could be related. Also check your injectors and make sure they Are all firing. You have no misfiring correct? Also check your wiring going to the o2 sensors and make sure nothing got pinched while you were working.

First thing i would do is start easy. Pull the code. Just to see what it is. And let me know. It could be a array of things. From evap to o2 related could even be an engine sensor. Does the car have any issues starting up?

Monkey Rench Garage no the car starts fine, it used to have a dead battery cause of not moving it for months but I checked the oil when I was home, (I took it for a spin around the block so tires don’t get bruised up like my last ones) and it was low LOW like not even at the L mark I’m a bit concerned now but I literally didn’t even drive more than 1-3 miles since it was just a quick spin. Ordered 5Ls and same filter it had as when I bought it. I’m thinking it could be that but I’m not sure as the straight pipe it had on fell off and cracked from the y pipe (speed bumps) and maybe I’m getting an emission code but I’m just gonna go get it checked once I change the oil, just worried it’s a bit more than that since I’m on a budget most of the time

Monkey Rench Garage I tried pulling the code myself too with the built in system and was trying over n over and when I did get it correct for once I wasn’t paying attention since the beginning so I didn’t really read the code and every other try it gives me five slow blinks (read that means I’m doing it wrong) but idk tbh

Monkey Rench Garage been looking at the codes and the closest one that looks like it might be is code 1273? But I’m not sure but that code is related to air fuel ratio. I don’t know if that’s bcos my exhaust is broken off at the y pipe (so I narrowed it down) thinking it’s 1273 or 1283 but I still can’t explain the first slow blinks where 6 then 5 making that the “1” for the code?

Yea. That was the whole reason for this mod.

Not in California it won't pass. Unless you get lucky and find a smog tech that doesn't check underneath the car. My local tech using one of those bent mirrors like the us border patrol uses to look for dope coming inti the US illegally. He would definitely see the defoulers and give you an immediate fail on the smog test. I think I have found a way around getting caught with the defoulers. Im currently trying it out here in Calle but it takes a few days and you must follow a strick guideline list of steps in order to pass smog and get the DMV registration tag. I have a Mazda protege 5 that has needed a cat for over 8 years now. I haven't replaced the cat and have passed smog 4 times in the past 8 years. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction when I can jam it up the ass of the state government. Bunch a tree hugging liberal woke_tards ruining everything in California....Just sayin'..... Ill repost what I did if it works out for the 350z.... Fingers 🤞

@@4klp59 when you get the defoulers put them on a d reset the ecu. One of those codes is for the vvt. So make sure you have the right oil pressure and proper oil levels

Got to check the pressure but that code pop out some times the solenoid and cam sensors are new, car is pretty weird sometimes

That’s a random misfire code. You might want to check your coils, intake manifold for vacuum leaks, and check your intake tubes if there are any rips after the maf sensors

@@MonkeyRenchGarage I was told by the dealership that, that code came up becuz I have no cats... I looked that code up and having no cats can cause that p0300 code to come on... I just got new spark plugs and coil packs and all new hoses water and air... I planned getting bung extensions to see if I can get the check engine light to go off 🤞🏼

If you don’t have cats and you’re running without defoulers i can see that. I haven’t had cats in about a yea and i have no codes or misfires
