Design a fun checkboard pattern with me! Easily replicated if you can cut squares. Find out why you want to fuse pattern down, and what happens if your kiln shelf isn't smooth.

Can the empty places be filled with frit? Like a powder

I suppose you could powder the gaps. I think it would depend on how much powder you could stuff in there as to whether or not it would be opaque. The catch is powder holds a lot of air, so it would shrink down.
