The video breaks down the process of creating foreground clouds using Maxon noise instead of volumes in Cinema 4D + Redshift 3.0. This is a quick, cheap way of overlaying cloud-like patterns over any object, with the advantage of the clouds interacting in material reflections, the scene's Z-depth and Redshift PostFX.

That's genius.... Solved a problem for me today.. Any ideas on looping the cloud animation?

Hmmm, there is a way. Use two noise nodes, both identical, same seed and pos. One noise position ramps up, while the other ramps down. At the start and end you end up with the same results as both use the same seed. You would have to blend the two in such a way to make it look like it’s going one direction, not stuck in place as the two ramp in opposite directions.

Anyway to use this process for Archviz sky cloud? Or for that case VDB is needed?
