It's not really crazy at all. These games are created from passion just like games like halo was. Games have always been a business but the difference is that passion doesn't sell anymore

Yes I agree. It's a fun little game that isn't too expensive but yeah the clunkiness can be its downfall sometimes.

Battlefield V, a game made by a billion-dollar publisher with a bloated budget: markets being able to drag wounded allies in all its initial trailers, says it will come post-launch, continues to say it's coming for months before finally scrapping the concept due to "no tech." Easy Red 2, a game made by a small team on a shoestring budget: oh yeah no problem.

Hell, you can even recapture an ally that surrendered

No offence my friend but in recent years there has only been 3 prominent ww2 “mil sims” (hell let loose,post scriptum and red orchestra2/rising storm) in the last 10 years and really only Post Scriptum(now called squad 44) is a mil sim, hardly an infinite wave 😂

True but you left out half of the story. You still have to apply for a "test" at your own cost at the respective German "youth protection" institution and they will decide whether the symbol serves historical purposes or is part of an artwork or it is just an exploitation. You can just not do that but risk getting your game banned in Germany. Hence, the cheaper version is to just not show the symbol.

Remember, game is also on Switch. I don't know but I guess they can't show it otherwise the game could be delisted by Nintendo

It is not just Germany. Other countries where it is outright banned or otherwise restricted in its use are numerous, meaning that you should indeed use an alternative symbol, such as the Iron Cross or Balkenkreuz in order to avoid any such issues. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bans_on_Nazi_symbols

The community has been very vocal with the game since it launched on PC in 2020 so the dev has constantly made the game better everyday. The gameplay loop is also very addictive. It has the survival/looting aspect of fallout but the game doesn't pause while you're looting dead bodies, so there's constant tension.

@@CandarianGaming yeah sure enough I got the game been very fun and at times surprisingly terrifying the moment you go from peace or at least a normal gunfight to the entire street you were in being decimated by artillery is certainly one to remember!

@@BrokenCircle1 I think Big Red One, it was definitely that COD 2 era.

Day of Infamy is good and all but its more like a CS WW2 themed game than anything, the maps are too small and the bot count is very low, other than that the gunplay is actually very good, I just wish it had bigger maps like Insurgency and a similar gameplay loop to Insurgency, It's abandoned by the developers now which is sad.

Easy Red has WAY LESS grind, it's just drop in and play. Easy Red is more like a single player bot match game that also happens to have multiplayer, Enlisted is a multiplayer grinding free to play shooter. They're not really comparable

Yes it is a bit rough around the edges.

it's mainly a singleplayer game and multiplayer is mainly for coop with friends, you can PvP against others tho and you can host your own server, there are no dedicated servers.

My favorite thing about War Thunder is how people from different countries CONSTANTLY leak classified documents on the forums to win an argument, or prove the devs wrong in how they’ve balanced the game🤣

@@shreksnow1918 It was hilarious to be sure. But Enlisted isn't War Thunder. It's being developed by a different studio. Yes, Gaijin is the publisher, but Enlisted is it's own game in a way. You don't have to pay repair costs (thank God) unlike in War Thunder. It just has the War Thunder vehicle models in the game. A lot of people in the War Thunder and Enlisted community value historical accuracy, and there's a lot of toxicity surrounding that idea. It was bound to happen. But back on the topic of Easy Red 2 and Enlisted. Easy Red 2 is a lot like Enlisted to be honest. Both have squad mechanics, both have authentic vehicles and settings, and both games try to recreate the atmosphere of WW2 with a mix of arcade-gameplay and realism. I do believe Easy Red 2 does a few things better than Enlisted like the reload animations, certain elements of map design and the fact you don't have to grind years to get one item... but Enlisted has the benefit of a larger budget for it's development, so a lot of the maps and environments are pretty well-made and designed for the most part (aside from the gray areas on the map, or the "no fun" zone). If anyone where to play Enlisted, I'd recommend the Moscow campaign, as I think that's the purest form of Enlisted we got right now. Easy Red 2 has the potential to beat out Enlisted right now though if development on the game continues as planned, since Enlisted still hasn't done the merge yet. But yeah, historical accuracy purists I think would love both Enlisted and Easy Red 2, or someone just looking for a fun game to play.

There's no story mode however it's a single player focused game, even though multiplayer is available. Tons of missions/campaigns available and the workshop has endless content also. You can play offline but you need to be online for the workshop maps/missions to work.

I really hope they add an option to turn on the authentic Hakenkreuz and SS symbols Just to level up the authenticity a bit

if you watched the video you'd know this game is singe-player focused and multiplayer is basically to play with friends where you can host your server and let your friends join you to play coop or pvp.

@BrokenCircle1 Trepang2 is this spiritual successor to FEAR where you can enter slow motion, the enemies are smart and try to flank you, and there’s a bunch of particles and other things that fly all over the place during combat. Halfway through the game you get the ability to dual wield every weapons AND IT’s GLORIOUS! Unfortunately, there’s not as much enemy variety as in FEAR, and the story is pretty lackluster. The gameplay is super good, but it could’ve had more substance. Also, as far as I’m aware there is no Trepang1. Trepang2 was just a code name they used during development, and they couldn’t change it later because it was part of the branding at that point. It’s super cool.

It's meant to be predominantly singleplayer. Pretty sure the multiplayer is just made so that you can play with a few friends if you wanted to.

He mentioned the swastika for the sake of authenticity, when he mentioned realism he was talking about gameplay, and I think it's balanced between realism and fun, Games don't have to be 100% realistic, Gabe Newell himself said in his recent Half Life documentary that you play video games to have fun.

I dont mind these things. I haven't played multiplayer I mainly play on realistic. Seemed like a gpod mix to me. The only guns I really had an issue with sighting were the new french ones. The holes on tbose are way too small.

​@@BrokenCircle1I actually helped with the testing for it and the reasons they where like that was because the sights for the rifles where literally ment to be as close to the real thing as they could get without making them unfun to use, I literally remember going over a conversation between Marco amideli and a guy with a actual ww2 french rifle showing him how to get the iron sights as close as possible to the real thing

I do aggre that the stamina system does kinda suck and that it should be left in a separate difficulty or something. The ammo not having a counter is something they wont be adding though since you can just check the amount of ammo in your weapon by counting or clicking your gun in the inventory. A Hungarian faction is planned I think but its likely it will be quite a long time until it is added Edit: I dont think the invisible magazine can even be fixed, it's been known since around 2022 I think yet still hasn't been fixed

@@someguyontheinternet68 ​That guy with the actual MAS 36 was me, but I was actually of the opinion that the rear sight hole needed to be opened more in order to replicate the actual sight picture for the gun, and not to keep it so small. Video games on a monitor can't replicate the real optical effect created by looking through a rear sight peep hole irl, and so to compensate to create an *authentic* sight picture, you have to sacrifice the 1-to-1 *accuracy* of the 3D model. Luckily, the update that just came out today finally implemented that recommended change, and the current MAS 36 sight picture as of today is much closer to the real thing. There are other edits to the model that should eventually be made, but for now that was the most important one imo.

Why what's wrong with it?

@@BrokenCircle1 Plays well enough for me. I actually discovered the game on Switch first. The graphics are worse and the bot count is more limited, but other than that the full game is there, and it even tends to be more active in multiplayer than the PC version since there's nothing else like it on the console. There were stability issues on launch which have been resolved now, so if someone tried playing it on Switch a year ago and had issues then I recommend they give it another shot now. It's definitely worth it. I have about equal play time on the Switch and Steam versions as which I'll play just depends on how "in depth" I feel like playing (easier to kick back and relax with the Switch).
