Hey, I was wondering if you had ever made a rice pilaf, but with a Chinese twist? Once when I was making Mexican red rice I got an epiphany. So, I sauteed the rice grains first until brown. Then added thinly sliced onions, Followed with chicken broth soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil. Added peas and carrots of the frozen variety. Once the rice was cooked. I added cooked scrambled eggs and topped with green onions. Served it with BBQ pork chops, it was very good. I was just wondering if anyone else has thought of doing it like this, not authentic but works if you don't have leftover day old rice. I would call it reverse fried rice, if I had to name it.
