A great project for kids and beginners, its a great gift for a loved one or an easy project for your next Craft Fair. Have fun with the shapes and designs, embellish and enjoy
00:50 Cut all fabric and interfacing - 22cm by 25cm
01:50 Press the interfacing to the fabric
03:45 Fold in 4 and finger press the centre point
For a 6" by 4" photo
04:45 Mark the opening window 7½ cm by 12½ cm
05:45 Pin layers together
06:00 Sew along the lines of the window
06:40 Cut out the middle, not too close to the stitching line - leave about 1cm allowance of fabric
07:30 Turn the window through
09:00 Add back fabric of frame to front - Add a ribbon if this frame will be hung
09:40 Sew front to back
10:20 Mark the 1cm frame
11:00 Stuff the frame
12:08 Sew

Cute frames, but I have a couple of suggestions. Made dozens of these for a fund raising Craft Fair many years ago. Clip corners on main (front) piece of frame before turning inside our. Also use batting pieces instead of stuffing. Much easier. Good video, though!

Hi Julie - one of my intended jobs not yet done! I have added measurements to the video - about 22 x 25cm with a window 12 ½ by 7 ½ cm for a 6"by 4" photo x I just made the window 2cm smaller in height and 2cm smaller width of any picture you want to frame x I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

Hi, Abi, the frame is really sweet. I was wondering if it would be worth stuffing the front of the frame before it was all sewn together, but I’d have to check the logistics of that! Thank you for sharing! Best wishes from Penny 😊💕

I’ve tried that method and that was too tricky. I went along with this way in the end because I think kids will find it easier. I’ll keep at it and try to find the best solution.

Hi Andrew. I don’t think these are too tricky to make and it depends on lots of things such as the quality of finish, if you use designer fabric and the market you’re selling to. It’s like clothes, you can buy a plain white tshirt for £5, add a logo and you can easily put a 0 (or even two) after the 5...

A hugely vague answer but I’ve sold mine at £7.50 for these in a cotton fabric ☺️
