EASY smokey eye for HOODED eyes

Here's a very quick and easy smokey eyes tutorial for hooded eyes. I share some trick and tips on how to apply eye shadow for hooded eyes or small eyes to make them look bigger and lifted. I know you had this video out for awhile. But this is THE FIRST TIME someone's explained the eyeshadow thing in a way I could understand it. They all say 'bring it up...wing it out". I don't know if I'm slow or something, but I just wasn't getting it. When you told me the way to do it and not to do it it just clicked. And for the first time my makeup stepped out of the 90's. I like that you zoomed in so that we really got an idea for how the skin moves with the brushes and products. I knew the general techniques of going above the natural crease and all that, but I had no idea what brushes to use! My blender brush is so big thay it makes my "crease" shade go aaaallll over my tiny, hooded, lid. You did a great job of explaining throughout the tutorial, and thank you for the brush recommendations!

I’ve been doing my make up for over a decade but I’ve never mastered a Smokey eye. This helps! I like the “dramatic” eye because when the eye is open, you see the colors better.

WOW. I knew I had hooded eyes and that I had to bring my eyeshadow wayyy up to make it look good but I never knew how dramatic it would look doing it the two ways that you did it. No wonder my eyes look weird hahaha I always brought the shadow wayyyy in on the lower eye. This is so helpful! Thanks, chica!
