1 teaspoon adobo seasoning
1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 small red bell pepper
1/2 small orange bell pepper
1/2 large onion
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon laps y’a mama seasoning
smothered pork chops,

For me the taste was great but 1 cup of flour kinda turned the gravy into a congealed mess. I removed a lot, added water, and cooked a bit longer and it was much better. I wouldn't think more than 1/3 to 1/2 cup of flour for the gravy.

Thank you for sharing what you did because I just learned this in real time. 🙃 The flour measurement for the gravy is still WAY too much. It's baking instead of saucing. Hopefully I can save it 😭🙏🏾🤍

I make mine the same way, lol! I never deep fry pork chops. It's very unhealthy and I think they dry outt to much! Just my opinion. Searing and then baking is a much gentler and healthy way to cook pork chops. I love it that you have extra gravey. My husband likes them served over cheesey mashed potatoes!

My gravy solidified for some reason. Idk what I did wrong. I did give it an extra ten minutes cause I had bone in thick cut chops. Could the extended cooking time have been the issue?

Bones are often used to thicken gravy so you would’ve needed either more stock or less flour.

Mine did too, slightly. I will try less flour next time but it was still soooo good & flavorful. Keeping on my recipe list!

@@ashleyhairston7919 it’s also no point in putting flour on the chops using this method. Typically you flour the protein and just add the stock to make a thicker gravy. In this case, flour is pre mixed with the stock so it’s overkill to use flour on the meat.

No ma’am, that’s not how you make gravy. That’s some European recipe, it is not soul food. Plus that meat cut tough, it did not fall off the fork. Beautiful plate presentation though.
