Hi Edith, just wanted to say, I think your wonderful, been watching your brilliant tutorials since I started crafting last may, Your so talented and your voice is so soothing, love your Melinas channel as well, like I said in a comment to her, you make me feel like I'm your friend for the length of your video's, I am 54, and disabled, don't have any friends that come see me, so I'm glad you come into my house everyday ( still binge watching all your work. Hope your eye surgery goes well, and let me know as I have two cataracts as well So thankyou again, and don't pay attention to that mean person, we all cut books up, lots of love xxx

I love your stories about Brooklyn! Reminds me so much of my nephew who, like Brooklyn, is just too smart for me 😂 He’s only 11 but sometimes it feels like he’s far older. I’d recently been talking about getting a new laptop and he got right onto researching laptops that would fit my needs - they were perfect except for the prices, they were all way more than I earn in a month! Hahaha.

If someone got upset at you tearing up Books, I really hope you told them that perhaps this isn’t the type of Crafting they should get into. I haven’t seen a single Scrapbooking/Journaling channel that doesn’t do that at some point!! From Edith Holden, to Little Golden Books, to Old Textbooks to....Whatever!!! Like you said, you’re giving an old book new life as a Journal or Ephemera in a Journal. Sigh...Good Grief!!! 🙄 I really love this Journal & it looks amazing!! Such a neat idea!! Thanks for shairng it & getting all of our creative juices flowing so to speak. Hope all is well & Good Luck w/the Cataracts. I had to get mine off in 96, as they go hand in hand w/my Eye Disease, but w/also being on Prednisone for my Kidney Transplant, it’s like giving them Rocket Fuel to grow as Super Speed. The difference between now & after will blow your mind. You’ll be amazed at how clear everything suddenly is. Take Care!! 😊

Ms E, I haven't seen the picture yet. On Saturday I wasn't feeling well and ended up on the ER. I thought I had food poisoning, but it ended up being something to do with my gallbladder. They keep me and I had to have surgery. Home and doing well. I'll be praying for you and your pre-op and that your surgery will go well also. God's blessings to you.🙏🙏🥰

Have you in my thoughts, had cataract surgery last year, 20/20 vision and reading glasses, look forward Edith, bright days ahead! That Brooklyn, such a girl, how fun she is, everyone needs a little Brooklyn in their lives!! I really like this this flip journal, the papers are wonderful, and the use of envelopes is really good, I’m always interested in different uses for envelopes. Thank you for another great journaling adventure!

Did anyone ekse yell at Edith as she was gluing that Yellow green pocket solidly down onto the dark floral page!?? I yelled at her to stop then I laughed histerically because I have done the same thing. So... that's gonna become a "creative correction". Still watching from Texas. Brooklyn for president!

I am recuperating from cataract surgery.. have had both eyes done. Cant see a thing with my old glassws6..they r useless now. Using some readers.. they do help to read with.. now no glasses to drive.. SO very happy. The surgery is a breeze❤

I hope you get your new eyes soon! The only bad part is the drops! Since ut was 2 weeks between eyes, I just took the lens out of my glasses for the eye they'd done and ciuld see fine! Or, you could wear a patch over the undone eye. Colors are amazing afterwards!

Lol…ty for the Brooklyn laughs :) she is a very clever little girl. Prednisone since childhood gave me double cataracts and I was informed they can come back, I understand about glasses 🤓 frustration so well. Prayers for your pre op Mrs. E.. I love your 2ring flip journal and your tag journals 💕

Lol...I love flowers, ferns, all greenery but I kill them all I'm the greenery reaper. So I go faux floral, that I craft and I don't have to water or replant. 😆

I just love Ms Brooklyn! Ya'll could write a book with the Brooklyn stories. Some people just have nothing better to do than try to make others as miserable as they obviously are. Love this idea ! I found a Edith golden “herbal book” 🤔I never even knew there was one. .50 cents at our village used book store. I used a page already. Oh my goodness, no I did not see that photo and I’m in Florida!!! I’d love to meet miss Betty in person. I’d also love a trip to “sweet home Alabama” as well🥰 what a brilliant flip book. I’m thinking filling pockets with my already done diecuts !! Pretty Storage 🥰🥰🥰🥰and slim enough to fit on my desk. I JUST ADORE missy Brooklyn stories. She’s so clever 🥰my kids used to say the same thing!! Well you have lots of checks in your book !!! Prior to now paying all our bills auto pay. Do you know I asked at our paint store in the village if I could write a check and he said no, we don’t accept checks!! But you run a Cc through and no one checks your signature 🤔

Very cute flip journal! I'm gonna make one now! I have two Edith Holden books. I still haven't torn them up...because they are just so cool. My husband hates it when I find a book at the thrift store. He always says, are you going to tear that one up too? I always smile and say, yes, eventually! I think repurposing is our obligation as crafters! Craft on! P.S. When did you discover the green pocket was totally glued down? I was trying to tell you in a very loud voice. lol!

This is absolutely wonderful tutorial. I’ve not ever seen one. Love the papers you have chosen as well. Very clever. How fun 💜💕 this would make wonderful happy mail Miss E. Oh no 🙉 for the love !!!! Why do people buy books??? I got in trouble too!! I used dictionary pages to make paper beads and a lady said, “I like your beads and was going to subscribe until you tore up that 1900 dictionary. Very disrespectful.” I nearly died. Almost stopped doing videos. It was my second video!!!! And I’m so shy .. so it is by the Grace of God I’m on KZfaq- No one uses dictionary’s anymore they use spell check !!!

This is going to be so cute Edith I just love the way it's looking so far. It looks like we may be getting our eyes done close to the same time the guy who's actually going to do the surgery on mine comes here one day a month out of Lincoln and I've been seeing his associate that works here in town all the time so if all goes well I'll be having my first time done in April and the second one done in May so I'm praying that you're just going to come through this great and that I will too. To the person that spoke unkindly to you taking/tearing apart and using a Edith Holden book she should look at all the other beautifully gorgeous things that you and other KZfaq artistic ladies have made and that have inspired others to make. If Edith Holden were alive she would be SO PROUD OF ALL the artistic inspiration all KZfaq artistic artists have made using her ART JOURNALS as a muse for inspirations. Hi from New Zealand. You were having issues with the tip on you Art Glitter glue.... I never stand my bottle upright unless I have the pin in it. I lie it down between uses, with out the pin in, and it seems to stop the tip sealing over. I put the pin in when I finish each journalling session. Even thru our very disappointing summer, and the winter heating, it has been fine left lying down. My tipped bottle is 60mls. Hope this helps you.

It's the old argument about using books in scrapbooking and the Edith Holden book is one that is often cited. If I had Edith's original diary, would I tear it apart to scrapbook with? Of course not. But am I going to use the two mass produced copies that I picked up in charity shops? Sure, why not? There are thousands of copies available. If mass produced books provide what you need for your craft, go for it and don't feel guilty.

Hi miss E, I’m back!! I’ve been unwell, but I’m back. Oh no 🙈 prayers for your surgery on your eyes. Mine is end of the month. I’ve lost 23 % of my sight since catching Covid in 2021. I’ve had other health issues as well. My vision loss was over night. It’s been very difficult. So many appointments before they figured out what was going on. Prayers that the first surgery will stop progression. Then I’ll have another to put together n lenses then praying that prescription will correct vision. I’ve been made a lens 5 + by my neuro ophthalmologist specialist in the mean time. I’m so sorry you too are having vision problems😥 I have missed both you and Melina. She is so sweet she found me on my KZfaq ( new) and wrote to me because she said she missed my comments. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 never in my life could I have imagined. Although I am a chatter box 😵‍💫

“Everybody needs a little Brook-lyn!” I have one!! Mine is a “Brooklyn Avery” she’ll be 12 in June & also NEEDS a new phone! 😂 Her dad and I loved the name Brooklyn bc it wasn’t real common when she was born, and I still haven’t come across too many other Brooklyn’s but one of her best friends is a “Brooklyn Raine” so there are two Brooklyn’s in her class. Her older sister is “Kennedy Danielle” and when we chose that we hadn’t met anyone with a kid named Kennedy at the time, but wouldn’t you know it, when her birth announcement came out in the newspaper, it was right after another baby girl named “Kenadi Rose” so the spelling was different but still the same name & would be on the same class! Crazy how that happens- name your kid something “uncommon” and they start popping up all over, just like when you buy a car you start seeing the same car everywhere you go! 😂 It just reassured me that I chose good names for my babies though! 😜
