How to crochet easy Sweet Orchid Crochet Coaster step by step tutorial for beginners.
The coaster measures approx. 12 cm (4,7 inches) in diameter.
Materials used:
Sport weight yarn. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn, ball weight: 50g
length (approx): 160m.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch, ch - chain, sp. - space, sl st. - slip stitch, sc - single crochet, dc - double crochet.

Very pretty, thanks for sharing. I used Peaches & Cream cotton yarn and 4.25mm crochet hook but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted, it was too bulky. I have to buy thin yarn, too bad. =(

I'm glad my video was helpful! ❤️ You might need to block them when you finish. I usually press my cotton doilies with the steam iron and gently stretch them into desired shape.

hello :) first time crochet person attempting this tutorial! i keep running into the same issue no matter how many times i start - after doing 3 ch and 15dc (first row), when i count the top stitch, i always come out to 11-12 so when i go around doing the 15dc w 2 ch after the 5ch, i come up short.. does anybody know what i’m doing wrong? 😅 any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!

I block my coasters and doilies with the steam iron and gently stretch them into desired shape. Sometimes I also use spray starch.

Is round 5 really supposed to be repeated 11 times? I was doing great until I got to this round and I had a lot more repeats available than 11. It looks like on your video you would have more than 11 also.. so I took it apart and I’ll try a different one of your patterns, but what did I do wrong??

Search for specific stitches videos and watch as many as you need until you understand how to do it I self taught myself this way and now I'm able to follow most "simple" tutorials as long as I have the stitches names

tried to make this pattern, i have only crocheted once or twice but for a beginners tutorial this is totally confusing there are no words and i have no idea what im doing, i got 5 minutes in and replayed the same five minutes over and over again for the last half hour trying to figure this out and the directions on screen make no sense to me as a beginner i like the pattern and really want to make it but i cant figure this out, i hope you can maybe do a little more in detail next time rather than a bunch of abbreviation that make no sense unless you are a veteran in this activity

i would say this is for 'advanced' beginners. familiarize yourself with abbreviations, do some practice squares and/or circles. videos without speaking instruction can often be difficult, especially if you're extremely new and inexperienced. good luck to you!
