I used this stitch for an afghan for my husband out of blanket yarn. He loves it. I have also used it for scarves, dish towels, and am using it to make a summer sleeveless top.

Hey, Jennifer. Have you ever checked out Amanda Crochets? She loves this stitch and has used it for several projects. You should design a waffle stitch dishcloth or maybe a suzette scarf. I can't wait to see more videos. Everytime you upload a video, I get the biggest smile on my face. When you are going into the chains, do you go into the top loop or the back bump? I am asking because I am a blind crocheter. You do a great job describing how to do stitches and make projects.

Love your tutorials. How many chains would you recommend for a blanket

I want to use this lovely stitch to make a shawl for a crochet group that I've recently joined, so a relatively newbie at this. This seems simple enough. We make blankets and shawls for chemo patients. How many chains would you recommend for the width? I'm guessing somewhere around 60. Thank you in advance for your help.
