Easy Watercolor Penguin Tutorial - realism with abstract background

Materials used
Arches coldpress watercolor paper
12 x 16 inches
Colors used
mars yellow
lemon yellow
paynes grey
burnt umber
burnt sienna
rose dore
phthalo blue
I would recommend using a medium and small round brush for example either a #6 or #8 round and a #0
I used a 1 1/2 mottler brush by the brand princeton for the background wash

LOVE your style ❤️ You have done quite a few herons. I was wondering,- do you have more in depth tutorials on herons on your patreon page? I was recently scammed for a lot of money on patreon by 2(!) creators,and I support a lot of channels.. so I’m a bit paranoid right now. But I really really want to paint a heron for a special person,for Christmas! And I know it will be appreciated more in watercolor (it’s not my medium 🤣) Do you think I will find the help I need on your patreon page?? 🥰🙏 (I’m so sorry for the long message. And I apologize for my English as well ,- it’s not my first language 😂)
