Hi there, Liron here!
Today we'll paint a beautiful scene using realistic values!
I will simplify the reference for you, so that you know EXACTLY what to paint each step of the way!
This is similar to a previous vid I did using a street scene.
Using this methodology - anyone can produce a realistic result that reads well and is very pleasing to the eye!
Here you can find all the reference photos + my scanned sketch stage:

Enjoy! 🙏😊

Thanks for a great lesson. Have been thinking of painting the value layers in acrylic and then painting water colour washes over the completed value painting.

Hi Ross! Good thinking...with a glitch. The Acrylic background will not accept the water colour on top. You can use a simple graphite pencil on the drawing to create the values (the softer the pencil HB to B) the darker the shade? But you can use a regular pencil and add a couple of letters for the darker values. You can paint with watercolour on top, and the graphite will accept the watercolour and stay put, no smudges. This is sometimes called the "grisaille" (in 🇫🇷) or graumalerei (in 🇩🇪) if you want to research a bit more. Happy painting!

Thanks, Lirn! Love this method. I tried after one of your previous videos. It works! I am always scared that the colour will be too dark. But it never is...as I am probably over cautious. Interesting that you started wet on dry...and used the spray every now and then. More inspiration to continue practicing. I wish you healthy, creative, peaceful 🕊️ and light filled holidays 🕎. Thanks for your generosity in sharing so much.

@@Moonbeam5761 O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
