For someone who has no experience in makeup whatsoever, this is really helpful! I know a lot of people are complaining how you talk too much, but for me at least, it helped me since this is basically my introduction to makeup. So thank you!

does anyone else have the issue of the eye that's on the same side as their dominant hand (e.g. right) coming out perfectly and the other (left) coming out shit :(

I know that this is going to be hard to believe, but I'm 52 and I was quite "tomboyish" through most of my life. No one really ever taught me how to put on makeup and I'm using liquid eyeliner for the first time ever. Oh, btw...I live in a tent and don't have the best lighting or the best mirror. I can tell that you have a lot of patience and you did a wonderful job on this tutorial. When you started talking about making the wing and pretending that your bottom lash line continues...well, I got that! Great explanation! Wish me luck! And thank you again! 😀

Thank you for this! I'm brand spanking new to liquid liner at the ripe old age of 32. 😂 I haven't practiced yet, but I think I'll be able to thanks to this! PS: as a newbie, I thoroughly appreciate the detailed explanations on how exactly to execute. After all, says plainly in the title "for beginners!" So nevermind those who said you "talk to much," it was perfect.

I just found you (five years later than most) but I think you are an excellent teacher. I am an older woman (61) and for years I never thought I could draw a good cat eye as I always got discouraged. Well, things are changing and I'm taking much better care of myself--entering a new chapter in my life. And yes, that includes a damn good cat eye! So far I am doing pretty good as per your tips, thank you!!!

I love the hack of looking down so you don’t have to pull on your eye. I’ve been doing my own makeup for years and have had it done professionally countless times and had never heard that trick before.

Nice. I do almost the same, i used to copy all the good vloggers, starting from the wing then working to the inner eye. It was hard for me so i quit doing eyeliners and just put shadows. Then just recently ive been doing liners again & realized it was so much easier to start in the middle of the eyelid then put the wing later on, & trying to put liner first before eyeshadow so i can erase if it didnt go well, then foundation.

Omg I love this tutorial it's perfect I actually tried it like this nice and slow and didn't pull my eyelid like I normally do and I have very nearly perfect winged liner! You described it so well and showed it step by step so it was easy! Love this technique and I think my problem was I always rushed and messed it up! 😁😁 xx
