🌸Wonton Noodle Soup
Ingredients
For the Wontons (Makes 34 to 36 wontons)
1/2 lb peeled and deveined shrimp, finely chopped
1/2 lb ground pork or ground chicken
1 tbsp shaoxing wine or dried sherry amzn.to/2rGIW8k
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp grated garlic (approximately 3 cloves)
2 tsp grated ginger
2 to 3 green onions, finely chopped
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp black pepper
34 to 36 square wonton wrappers
For the Noodle Soup (Makes 2 servings)
4 large slices ginger
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 green onions
1 dried shiitake mushroom
5 cups chicken stock
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp fish sauce
2 to 4 heads bok choy or 4 oz of any veggies you like
2 portions egg noodles, I’m using precooked & ready to use egg noodles but you can also use dried (Hong Kong Style Egg Noodles amzn.to/2zJxZ8w) or fresh one

I would love to see the recipe of the stock you use for this recipe. Or what to look for in store bought stock. Sorry I have tried to make chicken stock and it just doesnt taste quite good when I try to use it in your recipes. Maybe I am using the wrong ingredients.

I made this for dinner last night and it turned out amazing. I had to increase the batch size to accommodate 6 people. The only add-on was a tbsp of better than bouillon chicken flavor to enhance the flavor more and a tbsp of salt. The fish sauce & soy sauce flavor wasn't overwhelming. Thanks for keeping this recipe simple with simple on hand everyday ingredients.

I have made this several times now with soup and veggies or wontons with fried rice (all your recipes) and my kids and I love it! I love Asian food and was always intimidated to learn recipes. I realize this one is easy but equally delicious and has gotten me started on exploring more of your wonderful recipes. 1. I just found your channel this week and I’m in LOVE! 2. I tried this recipe last night and I couldn’t believe the flavors from such a quick and simple broth! 3. A few reasons: it started off all calm and cozy.. then your beautiful personality jumped in, I was hooked onto your humor, you also look like you're really enjoying what you're doing! My mother-in-law makes this ALOT! She is from Vietnam, so this is a staple dish in her house. I love it soooo much :D She makes her own noodles and soup base, so it taste extra homemade and goood! She uses pork cutlets and chop them up, instead of ground pork. But everything else is pretty much the same as you :D Im gonna make this recipe for her ;P see what she thinks :3
