I have just started and I have heard the cheap tools on Amazon are not always fantastic. I treated myself to a set of three flexcut knives, from EBay. They were about £68 delivered. Some of the beautiful knives Doug uses are hard to get in my country. Good luck x

You are most welcome. Back in 1999, I lost everything in a house fire, my carving tool, carving, the whole lot. then 9/11 came along and I was deployed overseas numerous times. Surfing KZfaq last year I ran across your channel. You inspired me to start carving again and I really appreciate that.
