Elyse Willems used to be part of the team behind Game trailers. There was a comedy show / weekly update she did together with Isla Hinck and others from game trailers called "mandatory update". It was always a blast and hilarious to watch. @@linkash4167

I loved all the little references and allusions to LiS1, but I'm also worried Deck Nine's promise that your ending for that game matters actually won't in any appreciable way. Like, oh yeah, Chloe's alive and we were totally high school sweethearts! Where is she and why isn't she in this game? Oh, we broke up years ago. There ya go, Tumblr gays, now stop asking about her. There’s probably tons of ways they could excuse her not being there. Cause like Isla said, they’d have to write to completely different games otherwise. They could excuse it as her being on a trip and being unable to make it back to Max until after the story of this game ends. Or maybe she’s in jail for being at a protest or something.

@@NCRLouTenant hadn’t read the comics so didn’t know that was a thing! Yeah that could also be the excuse. And it looks like this game takes place in the winter. So if they need an excuse for why Chloe can’t/doesn’t show up (which I imagine she would in a heartbeat if Max called her and said, “my new friend was killed and my powers are acting weird”). It could just be explained as she’s somewhere that is experiencing a snow storm so Chloe can’t physically get to where Max is.

Having read the comics that follow saving Chloe I am SO excited for this game because the wild thing about this game and the story of the comics is that they technically can still exist at the same time which I love. I really hope they don't erase the story of the comics and instead allow it to exist separately because I felt like the comics gave her a really cool ending.

@nateg3998 I have a theory that our first shift isn't when we willingly do it, it's when she passes out after taking the phot of the owl, her hearing the conversation with Chloe isn't her nightmares of the event haunting her, it's her power focusing on that major nexus point in Max's life where there's a reveal that when Max tells the truth about destroying the town or Chloe's sacrifice for the town the person she's talking to is like "Max, what are you talking about? Arcadia Bay never got hit by any major storm/ You introduced us to Chloe when she visited last Christmas"
