FINALLY MADE THIS A tip: if youre using an A4 paper like me, make the the width to 1cm because i tried with 2cm and the paper ended up too weak to be tucked in like a star

Thanks so much! I've been wanting to make a lucky star for forever, but could never figure out where I went wrong (the paper was too short, so then I couldn't make the sides properly, and then pressing the sides in made it worse) Thanks to the tutlrial, I made four pretty okay ones! Still needs some work, but now it resembles a star! Some things I found out: 1. If you are using letter paper (8 1/2 by 11, definitely go for a smaller size. The tail at 2cm wide is too short to wrap around the star after the initial pass to make one of the sides come together. 2. When using washi tape, try not to press the folds down too much. The tape tends to keep them, so once you fold it, it's mostly permanent. 3. The side you want on the outside should not be facing you at the start. As long as you take that into account, the rest of it is the same, and the outside will show up very nicely!

Wonderfully easy instructions. I don't like to cut the strips, so I order them from Shein....But I have fillled a large jar with my stars and working on my second large jar.

I was struggling so much and I kept throwing them at the wall but after so many tries and the needed help from this video, I did it and I am so happy with myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love how he does is slowly so we can understand what he is doing but i failed at the folding part in the end

Hello! I LOVE this video! It's helped me tremendously! I do have a few questions for you, if you don't mind. First, I notice you don't flatten the sides of the pentagon as your making it. I was always told to crease it down, but that's difficult. What "poundage" of paper do you use? It's card stock I know, but is it very stiff? I need to figure out the measurements to be able to do my own! That's brilliant, as buying strips is often very expensive for me on disability. I have folded some stars that are made with very thick, shiny patterns on them, but can't push the sides in to made the stars! What would you recommend, as a tool other than my fingernails, that would be better for me to control this, and get those lovely stars made? I will be looking for every single video you've made! I really do appreciate your doing them! Hope to hear from you soon! Blessings!

This was such a good speed compared to some of them on Pinterest and you don’t randomly cut the video and there your somewhere completely different.

such a fun model. I used to fold these out of US letter sized sheets; cutting them about 5/8th of an inch wide, then color them with Sharpies. not as solid as your proportions produce but it was the activity that entertained.
