Welcome to Eat Baila Travel, this is Jenny and Kevin. If this is your first time joining us we are two Mexican- Americans who decided to move to Mexico. We started the year exploring our options in Veracruz, Yucatán, Oaxaca and now Querétaro
Very often friends, subscribers and family ask us; is Mexico safe to live? How is the food in queretaro? What is the safest city in Mexico? What is the climate in Queretaro? In today’s video we reflect on our time spent in Santiago de Queretaro to help you answer all these questions and our thoughts on it being a candidate for our future home.
With a our month long stay we can say Querétaro has been a GREAT place to live. Queretaro is considered one of the safest cities of Mexico. In this video we will give you a glimpse of Querétaro and we talk about how we’re settling into one of Mexico's safest cities. When choosing a place to live these are our guidelines in choosing where to live.
In this video we will give y'all 6 reasons to live in Queretaro!
1. Size of Queretaro
2. Safety in Queretaro
3. Climate in Queretaro
4. Food in Queretaro
5. Health and fitness
6. Dance scene

The climate sounds perfect - that’s our vibe! Interesting to hear your take on the seafood not being as fresh as other places you’ve been, but the variety of other international foods sounds like it might help make up for it a little. Also, we’re loving seeing wines make a regular appearance in your vlogs here and can’t wait to learn more as you do. And we never tire of watching you dance. 😊 Can’t wait to see where you go next!

The weather is perfect, the food is good and environment is safe we just need to get on our bikes and ride the city! Wine is what we love about this area we love wine and back in Chicago it was part of our lives. As soon as we got to Mexico that stopped but we are super happy to have options here in Mexico.

You’re right I never equated cleanliness with safety but you do have a point 👍. I’ve always taken cleanliness for granted and lately I’ve been appreciating it more since I’ve been watching a few KZfaq videos of places like Medellin Colombia where this guy walks around in neighborhoods that are dirty with piles of garbage everywhere, it really makes it feel very unsafe🤷🏻‍♂️ As far as places that you may call home soon I’m putting my bets on Querétaro, I know it doesn’t have beaches nearby but you could always have a weekend getaway to places like Acapulco, Vallarta, etc Saludos amigos 😀🇲🇽✌️
@EatBailaTravel
@EatBailaTravel 2 жыл бұрын
Yea we feel that is the case in Mexico when the cities are clean and well taken care of it just feels safer. At times it is political issues that lead to dirty neighborhoods but who knows us as a community also need to hold ourselves accountable for keeping our neighborhoods clean. Querétaro is trying to steal us away from the rest we truly love it here. Saludos Fer!

I went on a street art walking tour in CDMX and one thing they said was they could rehabilitate blocks by installing murals on the corners. People stopped leaving garbage on the ground and started to take care of the area.

I am not surprised Querétaro is not your top choice because you are seafood lovers. After living here for a while sometimes I am afraid of eating seafood without having a recommendation.
