I agree with some of the comments regarding cleaning the fish tank. Cleaning everything disrupts the natural bacterial balance in the tank. Look up 'gravel vacuum' videos and just clean the gravel. This can be done with the fish still in the tank. Never get rid of all the water - drain it down only about halfway to keep the bacterial balance. Your tank environment will be a much happier place for your fish and snails.

Alyssa the fish tank looks really nice but you're not ever supposed to remove all their water. Just siphon out up to 3/4 if the tank & leave the rest & add fresh water w/conditioners included. They actually need some of their biofilm (natural bacteria) for their health. And keep John's lunch cold & he can heat it up in a convenience store in their microwave! I do it all the time. 😁

Try mixing things up with your lunches. I always pack fresh fruit which really helps in the hot summers. I also make extra for dinner so there are leftovers for lunch. A chef salad once a week is also a good option.

Hey y'all fish are alot with littles. We just almost got rid of our tank due to the yuck and clenining it requires. But, to our surprise we got a sucker fish and after 1 week the tank is maintaining itself!!! Snails work and a couple shrimp too. The sucker fish has been the best yet though. Best 7 bucks spent. Just some ideas so you have more time to do other things. Love watching you guys and the girls. So fun! Reminds me of my littles. Blessings!

Just a heads up, yo don’t need to fully change out the whole tank every time. We’ve had tanks set up for over 20 years that have never been fully drained. You just need a water change. Also keep an eye on pH of the water and you should never add the water from a fish store into your tank in case of diseases 😊

Go to a truck stop & buy a lunch box cooker that plugs into your truck cigarette lighter. My ex worked construction & he used one of these & warmed up soup, beef stew, chicken & dumplings, etc. You need to buy the small foil pans that fit inside the cooker & pack the food in it, then you just toss the pan & there's no dirty dishes to miss with. It worked so well that sometimes he would have to wait on it to cool down before he could eat.

I make lunch for my husband most days. Things I make usually incorporate left overs. He keeps it in a cooler with ice packs and microwaves except salads and sandwiches, unless it's a hot sandwich. Flatbreads can be low carb and loaded up with lots of good toppings. 1. BBQ chicken and spinach flat bread, with or without fresh mozzarella. Make your own BBQ sauce with Splenda or Stevia to keep it sugar free. Grill or pan Sautee chicken, add spinach to grab flavor and barely cook. Place BBQ sauce on Flatbread and add the toppings. You can add mushrooms or other veggies too, cooked to your favorite level of doneness. I like cold pizza, but if you do not then heat for about a minute in the mike. I make a Mac n cheese with the same BBQ chicken and spinach, but pasta isn't usually healthy eating friendly when getting into shape. If we have left over steak I will slice it thin and make steak, spinach and mushroom omelets for lunch. You can use egg whites if you don't want the extra calories in the yolk, but we use the yolks since low carb doesn't limit fat as much as some other eating plans do. I have lots of meal ideas. I just use my imagination and try to recreate delicious meals incorporating left overs as much as possible.

While my hubby isn’t visiting customers everyday, I make his lunch and he takes it. One tip for the chicken - instead of sending it whole, chop it up so he doesn’t have to cut it up himself. He can add a splash of water to the chicken and broccoli before heating and place the lid crossways and it kind of steams the meat and veg. Another thing I do is send a pack of lunch meat and buy a 1/2 log of bread and send with him, so he can make his own sandwiches. Id use small dressing containers out of the Rubbermaid sets to put his condiments in. Buy a hard ice pack and freeze. Place the meat and condiments on top of ice pack. Then place snacks and/or treats on top. Also for lunches, if he can get to a microwave take leftovers. Just add a splash of water before heating.

If you put the meat in a tumbler like a yeti (I use the knock off or even a small thermos) it'll stay hot until lunch. Just pour boiling hot water in the thermos to pre-heat it then pour it out, dry, and then toss in your meat. You can warm the meat each morning before you leave for work and toss it in the thermos/tumbler then. I used to do this when I was in college and wanted a hot, homemade meal on campus! 😁

Culinary Arts grad here✌ Chicken. Four days max on cooked chicken stored in a cold refrigerator and must be heated to internal temperature of 165°F. This kills bacteria (not their toxins, those give food poisoning, no way to rid them, if you want scientific explanation, pls let me know:) Wal-Mart sells some nice work coolers Buy ice packs one for top, one for bottom. Before work put ice pack in bottom, put cut chicken in baggy, put baggy on 1st ice pack, put 2nd ice pack over baggy. it will keep it cold. Pack the rest of food and put on top. Never eat previously cooked chicken room temp. Food poisoning. Some ideas; chicken that has an acid on it (salsa, fresh lemon squeezed on it, mustard/mix whic can be put in baggy and put on ice pack where chicken is; fresh lime, pineapple, spaghetti sauce) are highly acidic and kills bacteria, but still, no room temperature chicken even with protective acid. You could replace chicken with other protein, legumes, beans or bean salad, hummus, buy a box of protein bars have salad with veg, drink a protein shake for day 4 & 5. Just some different ideas. Peanut butter is excellent for pritein as well as tree nuts, plus, less risky. Might google excellent chouces of protein. They have car plugs, like for phones, they might have sockets on the end, if not, learn how to make one (oh Evan) buy a cheap microwave for work truck. You could have soups for lunch in the winter✌ Basic ideas, You can contact me if you need ideas, I like helping:) This is already a short novel🤔😂🤷‍♀️ LOVE the new cabinet and configuration! The sellers probably watch and want the house back! You two made it gorgeous (and family help was great!:)

A great healthy way to prep for meals and not have to worry about warming up your chicken is slice the breast meat after grilling and place over a salad with perhaps some raw vegetables. Enjoy 🤗

On days my 6yo daughter doesn't like what's on the school menu, I send warm meals in thermos containers. She can be picky and she only eat veggies cooked and warm, and this way she likes her lunches

Put your food in a wide mouth thermos. They make a two pack that hook together and have a handle. They are on Amazon.

Did you know snails 🐌 multiply so fast and once you have them it near impossible to get rid of them. Gas⛽️Stations and 7-11’s have microwaves just don’t know if they have stipulations. My husband has always worked out in the field (not in the shop) working on equipment and he had this plug in cooler that did heat and cold. He used it for years but is in the shop now.

Racetrac and circle Ks have microwave s. In Florida you can use your windshield to warm up food, put it out for an hour.
