You don’t have to feel bad for “disrespecting a culture’s cuisine”, as 99% of “Chinese” food in America is actually American cuisine with Asian-esque veggies, some spices, umami. But Asian people don’t really eat what they serve. And sorry, it is crab Rangoon 😊

I feel the same way about finding a hair in my food. I've worked in the food industry and sometimes it just happens. It's always just an accident. However if the food is trash and I find a hair I'm not nearly as forgiving.

Mostly all takeout Chinese restaurants "Crab Rangoon" is mass produced and sold by food distributors. Like by the case and just thrown in a fryer. Unless you have a "fresh" or whatever style Asian/Chinese restaurant, it came in a box frozen.....also it is "krab" but there's so little of it in these things that the cream cheese overpowers any krab....also imitation crab is mostly binders like flour or starch and fish stock.

maybe they used canned chicken in the fried rice or something..

Nah... That sounds like a restaurant that keeps reusing leftovers ... I can eat at a place that has " bad tasting" seasoning or bland food, but a low health score, or hard dried foods that should be wet are a no go. That's just unhealthy. Be careful what you put into your belly and mouth!
