Finally u came to kerala . You should definitely visit other places in kerala too. Each place has its own special food items . Like calicut biriyani, thallassery dum biriyani , pazhampori , arikadukka, pathiri and lot more . I suggest you to take some localate in each place to know more about the food in each place . U might have foodfam from each district . If my ca finals preparation was not going on i would have taken u for a kerala trip . Any way small suggestion is to visit toddy shops were u can have variety of kerala food which is completely different from what u get in restaurants like fish , chicken, beef , mutton etc we call the place as " kallu shap " which is kind of fermented alcohol which we collect from coconut tree . U will find this shop every place but please try and go were u can try good food . Also try pazhamkanji, kappa ( tapioca), chatti choru , pazham nirachath, puttu , vallayappam ( our favourite breakfast which u will only get in kerala . The biriyani u tried is thalassery biriyani that's why chicken is fried and dates pickle is also given with thalassery biriyani and it is coconut dry chutney, if u try in Kozhikode chicken will not be fried but yea the main highlight of Kerala biriyani is the kaima rice, we keralities love our biriyani it is one go to food for all malayalies for any celebration. Please do try kerala food you will love it

You have to visit other places of Kerala to experience real taste ❤️❤️👌🏻 you will love it

So the mango pickle is called "maanga (mango) uppilittath" (not an achaar type pickle but you know like the cucumber pickle we get with shawarma) and the other one in the bottle the round one its gooseberries. And for the coconut side dish you got with the biriyani is called "chammanthi" a dry version of coconut chutney. shred coconut is crushed in a mixer grinder with chillies, salt etc. And the biriyani rice is called "jeerakashaala". Most of the authentic biriyanis in kerala is made with this rice. And for the" thari kanji"its made with semolina with coconut milk.
