This seven dollar hand crank generater or free energy phone charger is put to the test. The voltmeter shows output, current and voltage without load. why don't we just just a power bank using this and use the power bank for the phones ?

5-6V output is normal if the generator is not loaded. Try to measure it while it is loaded with a lithium charger or a USB device. Same goes for the current. What you measured is the short circuit current of the generator. The current will be lower. Also if you want to have more current, then you need a low resistance motor coil, which in turn lowers the output voltage, but you can generate only so much power. The low DC-r generators are good when you want to charge a supercapacitor and utilise a small device from that e.g. a simple dosimeter or a few LED-s operated from low voltage (they tend to have higher efficiency on lower forward voltage).

If it had a larger turning circle, maybe it would've charged the phone. I had seen this in china around 2009-10. Phones from that time would've probably charged, slowly but surely. Today's phones are way bigger in capacity and takes much more to charge. I mean, in a pinch, (like stranded in the desert or stuck in some canyon). I might consider this giving me a few percentages after cranking this for hours and hours, But in all honesty, I don't think this will work at all on any big capacity phones.

Plus these new batteries require a stable charge pulse and with those crankers the momentum changes constantly while turning the handle. I think these newer phones require at least 1amp and that thing definitely doesn't supply that.

@@topnotchcontent True. But this idea is sound. Perfect when you run out of juice and if made correctly, it can help in a pinch.
