What a noble gesture. The project was interesting enough rescuing someones treasured old army before the back story emerged and now has even more meaning than just cracking open a new box. The end result is fantastic. Thanks for posting!

I mean, what's evil about the Grey Knights? There's many a great novels showing what the Grey Knights go through, struggling against demons at every step of the way, tugged along a wild goose chase across entire systems at the whims of a demon who just play a big prank on them and the only choice they have is pack it on home and hope their next chance to remove an evil from the universe manifests itself. People always make this meme about how crazy bad authoritarian evil the inquisition is but they live in the far future where people having bad thoughts literally empower daemons to enter the real world and kill people. What else are you going to do but rigidly enforce the rules of "please don't empower and summon demons into realspace for the love of God (Emperor)?"

What an epic project, indeed! Looking good, Casey! I'm wanting one of those Bloodthirsters to paint up now, and I don't even play WH40K. I gotta admit, though, maybe it was because the models were so insanely caked with paint/primer that the one set I threw into my sonic cleaner took *FOREVER* to get to a point where they were acceptable. Then again, they were Privateer Press models and their plastic tends to bond with primer pretty hard, so...

Seeing that army made me think...do I have a bloodthirster and other old models in the loft doing nothing? Is it time for me to sell off my old 'lead' figures so they'll see the light of day again and for someone else to get enjoyment from them....

Never had a problem with mine but the again I am exceptional used drill pin and weld technique that was simple and affective

@@Billio68 When I had that model, it was the early 2000s, I was about 12 and had never heard of that technique. I used super glue. Many times. Then I sold it, along with all my other 40k stuff around the time I discovered beer and girls. I now regret selling so much for so little.

Man, just replacing the wings on that OG Bloodthirster was a night and day improvement for the sculpt overall. Nice job. I always felt like that old model had horrifically ugly wings (and not in a good way).

It's a similar story in how I got into Warhammer. My step brother had a friend who died and he left like $2k or so in older models and he didn't play so he gave them to me and my brother.

New to the channel and loving it so far. Its bitter sweet story behind the story for those models you came across and awesome that your putting them up for donation. But i do have some small criticism, the background music choice during you story about the army and owner passing away, it didnt quite fit the mood. Aside from that awesome vid, got yourself a new sub and am looking forward to more vids :)

The metal Juggernauts for the blood crushers were taken from Age of Sigmar Khorne Lord as I remember. The Regular Crushers were all plastic as I remember. I THink that the person wanted to put those Metal ones for Heroes.

I was duped into buying some rather messed up tau on ebay, wish I knew how to do stuff like this. They clearly tried to magnetise the guns, but ended up dumping glue over the whole thing, and then only took photos from angles that disguised the mistake.

I once bought some Dark Elf models in ebay which were selled by a woman whos husband passed away. It is an old metal War Hydra primed Black but in a very Bad shape.
