I am a Scot living in Turkiye and I discovered Şebnem Ferah very quickly after arriving here 3 years ago. I have friends from 3 different generations here who love her. Her music and her voice are just phenomenal and she is a total legend in Turkiye. She made me fall in love with the Turkish language (which is beautiful in its own right) and I just love the way she uses the language. If I could travel back in time just once, I would go to that amazing concert in İstanbul. She has not performed live since the pandemic but I understand she will return to the stage. I leave Turkiye in a few weeks but I WILL return, just to see her live.

Şebnem Ferah is a Turkish singer, songwriter, composer, and guitarist. She was the lead vocalist of the all-female hard rock band Volvox until 1994, after which she went on to pursue an illustrious solo career. Her music style varies from pop rock to hard rock though her later albums have progressively incorporated more of the hard rock sound.

There is a film called "Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever". Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever means love likes coincidences. This song is actually a big part of that film. Watching that film makes this song even more meaningful. I got goosebumps everytime I listen to this song.
