To locale station 10R, gently advance the EBUS bronchoscope towards the origin of the right mainstem bronchus with the transducer oriented between the 2&3 o’clock position. Here, the azygos vein is seen first, the lymph node is seen just below the azygos vein. We can also see the azygos vein terminating in the superior vena cava.
The upper border of station 10R is the lower border of the azygos vein. The lower border is the interlobar region between the right upper lobe and the bronchus intermedius.
