Ecamm Live have just released v4.1 and they have majorly upgraded the overlays! 😱

Adrian, I just finished binge-watching every video you've done about using Ecamm Live in the last year. Brilliant stuff! You make everything so simple to understand, and I appreciated how you demonstrated step-by-step how to use each of the features. I'm ready now to try using it myself. Thank you!

Adrian, I am trying to place a still picture (.jpg or .png) on the screen as an overlay. The picture, obviously, is rectangular. However, I want to have the still picture appearing inside a circle, like you do with a camera feed. I tried both overlays and could not make it happen. Will Ecamm do it? How should I do? Transform the picture with Photoshop first, or with some other app? Note that the different shapes are available only on one of the overlays. I would appreciate your comments and guidance. I would just use Canva or Snappa to turn it into a circle before bringing it in

Hi, Adrian. I have received soooo much great guidance and advice from you over the years. Posting here in case others have experienced the same issue. After upgrading to Ecamm 4.1... my CPU % maxes out, slows everything down, and I am experiencing severe video lag (vs. audio lag). Ecamm Tech Team has had me unplug all of my cameras and mess around with settings, etc. But the experience had dramatically impacted my ability to use Ecamm and Streamdeck for live streaming OR recording.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I've investigated with Ecamm and will come back if hear anything. They said they hadn't heard of this issue. Did you send in a diagnostic log?

Thanks, Adrian. I have been working with the wonderfully responsive team at Ecamm to diagnose the issue. My experience, hopefully, is a unique outlier. Appreciate you!

I really loved this one Adrian. I've always wanted to do a mini me popping up on the screen. I will purchase a green cloth, but do i need to light it up really good in order for it to work? Please let me know. Thanks

Can ecamm now record multiple camera inputs for later scene selection?

Yes, you can have up to 3 attached cameras recording separately. Have a look for my video in the playlist on ISO recording ;)

Is there a way to group overlay actions? For instance, I do some bowling streams and want to keep a lower third on the bottom of the screen with a name and some piece of information below the name. I'd like to be able to replace that second line of text with just a single keystroke or click. Right now, I can do that in Mimolive with actions - "Turn off Lower Third Subtitle 1 and Turn on Lower Third Subtitle 2" with one click. It sounds like from the end of the video the only way that you can do that with Ecamm is with a Streamdeck. Right now, I'm using a keyboard shortcut have to turn off 1 then another one to turn on 2. I was hoping to see if there was something integrated where I can just push 2 and it will turn off 1 then turn on 2 with one keystroke or click. I may just have to try the Streamdeck app to see if that's the best option.
