MrQuintonia Hi Chris - Well back then, I was fighting the Clowncil over school places and catchment areas that didn't exist... according to them. I became a School Governor, which then enabled me to become a Parent Representative on the Independent School Appeals & Permanent Exclusions Panel (often serving as Chair). Now the chap doing the opening speech in this video was Cllr. Pete Lancaster and he was one of the Clowncillors on this panel representing the Clowncils interests. I shall always remember as Cllr Lancaster and & Cllr Doreen Lee leaned over to me at the beginning of one of these School Appeal Hearing and said: "Right - I'll tell how this works". After which, I went through the 3 day Appeals and showed them how it works. During a period of 3 years, Bradford's LEA were forced to create more school places than they had done in the last three decades. The Council has never forgotten me :)
