Really appreciate this thorough but not drawn out assembly guide. I didn’t find the paper instructions that easy but also have zero patience. Followed you step by step and it made it an easy and, dare I say it, fun experience. Thank you for doing this!

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. kzfaq.infoUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

Static cable goes through flex pipe and exits before installing throttle control tube section. Tighten hose clamps to ensure solid, continues contact with plastic tubing to eliminate any static discharge. Ensure plenty of cable movement and trim excess or go the extra mile wrap extra wire around throttle control swivel bolt.

I bought this same blower 5,days ago and have used it for 4 hours so far. I had the same experience starting mine ( 3 pulls and wham started right up), this blower is very fuel efficient, 1.5 gals for the 4 hrs use, most at full throttle. I am very satisfied with this purchase so far and I haven't experienced any static electric shock. Thanks for the great video, it had an influence on my buying decision.

Yes, I agree with "Traxxasman 15" below; this is a fantastic video with very efficient editing. I feel this is as about as close as a person can get when it comes to hands on haha. Anyway, this is a very helpful video because I am researching the differences between the PB580T, PB580H, PB-265LNC, PB-265LN. I'm not trying to be cheap, but I want the most bang for my buck in terms of reliability, durability, and performance. BTW, what do I need it for? Well primarily, to blow the dust, rocks, gravel, and trash out of our local skate-park so I can skate without crashing on death-rocks LOL (our community displayed the highest wind gusts 52 percent of the time with a weekly maximum wind gust averaging 51.4 mph.) I can't wait for your follow-up vid. Again, thanks for this video:)

I saw a video about that wire and fed it thru the flex tube and thru all the other tubes. It's supposed to protect you from getting shocked while using the throttle you put on the tube.

My extesion tube with the metal nose ring kept falling off the main tube. Connect the extension by inserting and twisting counter clockwise does not secure it in place. The vibration of the tube during operation will make the extension falling off🤣 did I do it wrong?

Hi Jose I just got mine. I don't like the anti static wire that goes from the outside of the hose to inside which you would think that is better design would be to have a better product to where you would not need that antistatic wire. I Assume that other brands don't have that wire. That theoretically would create a small gap
@kappy0405
@kappy0405 3 жыл бұрын
It is kinda strange, but it doesn't cause any issues, & the gap isn't even noticeable.

How does this compare to the Stihl Br 600? I have two but was thinking of buying two of these first, but I did research and obviously the Br 600 has more CFM, but would you really know the difference from this in real use? Anyway thanks to whoever helps out!
@PersonOnEarth
@PersonOnEarth 4 жыл бұрын
For landscaping jobs where you just pull the blower out for 10-15 minutes after a mow you won't notice much difference. For a huge leaf job, the BR600 would probably do in 4 hours what this blower would do in 6. If you get lots of huge leaf jobs though you'd of course better get yourself a BR800 or Pb8010.

Lol. Here's what I thought. Got home today and unboxed and noticed that wire dangling and thought sure that was where they cut the security alarm off of it at the store for some reason. Went out and used it and sure enough was getting peppered with static on occasion but not all the time. So I was thinking must have been a wiring issue with the kill switch. Ran across this post and it immediately clicked. Retrieved the wire I had cut, put a new ring terminal back on it and installed it around the blower housing, attached it to throttle cable with a wire tie, around the blower elbow and then into the flexible tube. So glad I ran into this upload and these comments. Thanks all !

Follow up. Used it today for pretty long time and no zapping and really love the way this thing moves leaves quickly. Also to note, when I put the new ring terminal on, I did put it back on that same screw it was on originally.

I'll try and post some tomorrow if you aren't able to figure out. My best recollection is there a routing picture of the wire in the instructions. Basically you're running a wire from the back of the engine up and around and into the tube so the static charge gets grounded to metal , so that way it has no way to reach you.... I do remember seem like the shock coming from the screws on the on/off / switchand /or the throttle ,,,not sure just a piece of tape over them wouldn't work, or maybe some liquid electrical tape but I remember doing it with the anti static wire
@jakeranch6731

Don’t put the hose clamp on until the tube is on and there will be no need for any lubricant. That’s how it’s meant to be installed
