Not too bad for the basic box store trimmer. Id like to see how the X series string trimmer compares to the regular. I've got some Echo and Stihl tools. For a string trimmer I have the Stihl KM 131 which is the biggest of the attachment powerheads. One day I might get an Echo X series string trimmer cause I already know id like it. Echo makes nice stuff.

If you have a commercial trimmer especially echo get the black diamond line or the traditional echo orange line. The black diamond line is the best

Compared to my Ryobi 430 the SRM266 is way lighter and more balanced.

thanks for the video, was great to see how fast you can load this spool with line. watching this helped me make decision on which weed whacker to get. very informative and thanks again. didn't know if maybe you have tried a blade yet with that srm266??

I think the blade attachment should be used and save on your trimmer line and use the hedge trimmer too.

Put more string in to it that way you don’t have to restring your trimer

I wonder what will happen with line consumption as the berries get thicker?

Yes, it does eat up the line. When they get thick, I use a hedge trimmer. I should have said that in the video.

You'd need an engine that big to use a line that thick for sure. My 225 can't use a line that thick and would take longer to trim that land.

Agreed .095 is the most I would put on an SRM-225...

hey bro i hace this trimmer but with the special blade how do i do maintanance on this machine i do a lot of heavy work cutting from tall grass to even the trees that want to grow big

Clean your air filter, spark plug and spark arrester...grease the gearbox...run non ethanol fuel with proper mix and that should work 👍

Does your weed eater the fuel gets your air filter soak

I haven't noticed that being an issue. The filters do get dirty so I change them often. I buy multi packs so I always have clean filters ready.
