Great video! Great presentation style! It is a lot of steps and disassembly but this video made it easy. One question: When tapping in the seals, should they be tapped in to just below the surface of the cavity where they're seated OR tapped until they won't go any further (against the bearings)? The reason I ask: I took the latter approach and I think the seals are now overly compressed. Thanks.

Guy's nobody is lost the video is just 22mins tops. While doing pause go eat something come back have the video paused and you're going in time with him. The only thing is for the Crankshaft and Cylinder Housing the 5 Screws involve 3 for the crankshaft the 2 for the cylinder. Put a little Loctite on them not much on the tips all 5 please. When that machine starts to work in it full Glory or Potential vibration steps in There will be air coming in between the cylinder and crankshaft housing very soon it will be rebuilt again buy once you follow the steps all is well🤠🙏🏾

If these seals are leaking, would the fuel be leaking out of the vents on the bottom of the clutch housing? (Just above the shaft)

Taking it apart and putting it back together is actually quite easy. You can actually cheat a little bit when replacing the oil seals. Once take off the flywheel and starter cup and have access to both seals, get yourself a wood screw and drill it into the seal and use pliers to pull on the screw and out comes the seal. To install the new seals, oil them and get a deep socket that fits the seal and push it back on. After that just reassemble it and you're back in business.

I'm watching because I'm about to do this to mine. I just can't let a simple 2 stroke engine defeat me! If I can't fix it, well I've lost nothing but a few bucks for the seals and maybe i have learned something. I'm hoping it works for me.

@@thomasauto4862 Exactly! I replaced the carb and gas tank on my Troy Bilt two stroker 2 seasons ago, and it worked great but now, there is a leak and only recently it's not revving up and I can feel a touch of a wiggle of the motor in its housing and not starting up easily either. So am investigating online to see where to look and after I recover from surgery tomorrow, I'll investigate for real.
