How can we assess the E/A ratio in patients with atrial fibrillation?

Good question. E/A cannot be assessed in atrial fibrillation as the A wave is absent in atrial fibrillation. E/e' is useful in atrial fibrillation. More details at my blog: johnsonfrancis.org/professional/diastolic-function-assessment-by-echo-in-the-af/
