Many older people experience social isolation and constant loneliness in later life. It is tragic that so many wonderful and fulfilling lives end in loneliness and social isolation.
Older people often find themselves isolated from family and losing their friends. Re-engage exist to break the silence that can surround older people, however sociable or busy they were earlier in their lives.
We are the only charity solely committed to tackling this problem by helping older people to re-engage with their communities through regular face-to-face contact.

This is me. My wife died in Dec 2023, and I'm alone. When mom died, dad said that he didn't want to go on without her. I now know what he meant..,

This is absolutely true! My father is going through grieving & loneliness after the passing of my mother in 2018, they were married for 62 years. It’s tough, I tried to help by sleeping in his house every other week, it’s difficult & stressful. I just keep praying. Thanks for sharing this video, much appreciated.🙏🏽💕

I am Srilankan girl we respect our elders and we love them we look after our old parents and grand parents until their death they are our life . They tell us story, songs, foke songs and history stories .If they are in a another house we go to look them with lots of gift to make them happy . But our old parents need our love no need of gift. We need take care of them as they took of us . We are their life's .So we must take care of them. They need help of us

My beautiful Grandfather lost my dear Grandmother & this happened to him. So wish he would of opened his heart & let me help him more. He's now set free in peace with his true love💜💙🕊🙏

We are also a society that is h*ll bent in removing cashiers, often the only social interaction some seniors get, and replacing them with self check outs. I am a senior with no surviving family and my 2 closest friends have died. I took a job as a supermarket cashier. The money is welcome, but the primary function is to give ME social interaction. I told them that when I was hired. I wasn't even considering that for many of the customers the cashier would be THEIR only social interaction. Meanwhile.....the powers that be want to eliminate cashiers , hurting the customers and the cashiers. Profit above all else.

Neither can I. When my wife was dying, I begged God to take me, not her. She was suffering so much, and she didn't deserve it. But, I'm thinking that now she's free, no pain, and I'm the one that's suffering . Maybe that's the suffering I'm suppose to endure. It's okay as long as she's now happy..,

If you are disabled it is worse as you cannot even care for a dog or cat. So you live alone, and you wait.

I am 19 years old , i introvert and i dont like to interaction with other people , and i found a quote say like this "loniliness in older age is not fun " , and i think , will it really be that bad for me , huuu

I'm a life-long introvert, but I was never alone until now. I have nobody to care for or to care about me anymore. The house seems big and empty, with only me. Years ago, a co-worker predicted that I would be a lonely old man. (Her prediction has come true). I'll die alone, unloved, unmourned , and will soon be forgotten.
