For two people who haven't talked much, Eli and Clare seem to have not missed a beat. Eli suggest they should talk more and invites Clare out for lunch, but she abruptly declines because she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Later, Clare apologizes for overreacting. Clare and the gang successfully complete their newspaper, and afterward she and Eli hang out at the carnival.
