Punjab is the most beloved state in India ,Tamil Nadu is the most respected State in India, Karnataka is the most successful state in India, Kerala along with whole of North East is most beautiful part in India ( Kerala is pumping some amazing movies too), Maharashtra has the highest GDP contribution, Himachal and Uttrakhand are amazing to witness snow and are cleaner. Rajasthan amazing place for tourism ( yet it's not clean) UP, Bihar producing loads of Civil servants but that doesn't make for the lack of infrastructure, education, overpopulation, communal disharmony, etc. If only each State looked past the language and biases towards different state, India would be do great ! ( And obviously North has to do a lot to catch up with South)

The quantum of rain in those areas is too low for these kinds of rain water harvesting structures to work as percolation stores.

These are truly great guys to basically dedicate their lives to this when not even 0.01% of us would take serious efforts like this to save our beautiful planet. I think sooner or later South East Asian countries like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh will be forced to stop and reverse overpopulation. Like China did, but in a thought through and durable way to avoid some of the serious problems that China is facing now and in the longer term like an ageing population instead of a balanced one.

It was so amazing when i read in news paper that saving environment and agriculture had made their way in election manifesto of every political party (of course except bjp backed aidmk)...This has happened only because people of tn have opted for this most amazing thing than so called mega projects which are made destroying fertile agri land or thriving forest...
