Tried to follow the instructions but vent tube on my V class seems to be to short to connect, I wonder if anyone else have had the same issue?

Yes, me too. Mercedes screwed us. I don’t think it matters, it’s just one small battery and the battery compartment isn’t airtight, the hydrogen gas would just go into the cabin, and probably escape unnoticed. Hydrogen gas is hard to store in a purpose built storage vessel, it would be very unlikely for any incidental gas to build up, I assume that Mercedes wasn’t concerned enough to make sure the tube was actually long enough.
