Great video. I purchased 2 Ecoflow Delta Pros and both had this failure. After a conversation with Ecoflow, I sent the first one back. They made shipping it back and paid under warranty. What they do not take into account is shipping that unit is hard for older folks because it's a 100lbs. And it brings down my backup system until the replacement comes. During this time I heard a click and Delta Pro #2 failed! I decided to fix the issue for good and wondered why no one else had this problem. My repair was very similar to yours. When my replacement came it, I added it back to my system, and guess what!?! Yeah, the fookin replacement failed too! I consulted with Ecoflow and they assured me the issue has been addressed. They wanted me to send it back again. My question was how many times we gonna do this sheit? They used all the those fear tactics about warranty being void...bla bla bla. I repaired #3 myself. Ecoflow YOU R FULL OF DODO!

Thank you. Explains a lot of the hows' and whys of 60i vs 60 connectors and the many reports of the DP solar internal connection failures that I've heard about but haven't experienced with my DP and, hopefully, never will.

I have 2 DP's which both needed to be sent in for warranty repair for the solar connection. The first one returned without them even putting the screws in so it had to go back again. This fall in NE WI when I was charging a DP on a warm day I noticed how hot the cable was at the point of connection to the DP. BTW, the sun was shining on the solar connection and it was 75 degrees out.I am confident my problems with the EcoFlow Delta Pro solar connections are far from over so your video was very timely for me. Actually, ahead of it's time since warranties don't last forever.

For my delta 2, the car charger cable died within 2 weeks. So I got a little creative. My jeep has auxiliary switches 2 40A and 2 15A. I ended up using one of the 40A circuits, replaced the fuse with a 20A to try and protect the ecoflow if something does go wrong. I got a true XT60i to mc4 cable with the center pin shorted to ground, crimped an MC4 onto the aux hot wire, and crimped an mc4 onto a ground wire ran to chassis ground. I am kind of debating ditching the MC4's for more of an automotive connector like a deustch but I do like the idea of being able to use said xt60i to mc4 cable for solar panels as well. Now the ecoflow recognizes my jeep as a solar panel, albeit at 12v vehicle voltages. Being that it allows for 15A charge rate, it now charges up to 198w charging depending on what the smart alternator is doing. The first cable I bought, "batteria power", the center pin was dead and not shorted to positive or negative. The delta 2 only allowed 8A with a dead center pin🤦

A simple preventive fix but one you shouldn't need to do. After purchasing (2) DP's 4 months ago the first thing I plugged into those solar inputs were 12" xt60i male to female extension cables. Problem avoided!

just a heads up on the nightmare i've had working with ecoflow. 1st i bought 2 delta pros and 4 extra batteries and they working good at the beginning. Then the dc input fell inside the case and 2 days later the other started smoking. Called ecoflow told them the problem and they sent me the return label for both units to ship out. 2 days later fedex brought them back because of improper hazmat paperwork. so i called ecoflow again and told them this and they emailed me that paperwork to put on box. monday05/13/2024 i received a refurbished delta pro but wont work not taking in solar or recognizing the 2 batteries. so i called again same run around but the best part the 2 original units i sent out showed back up today with improper hazmat sticker and the units haven't even made it back to plano TX and its been 20 days. this whole process started on 04/16/2024 and today 05/17/2024 and not further resolution. Just beware!!!!!!

Happened to me as well. Ecoflow's support is dismal at best and their workmanship looks to be something left to be desired.

Any chance to remove the port covers on the back of the Delta Pro without breaking them?

Preventive Maintenace idea is to buy a XT60i male to XT60i female extension. Connect to DP solar input prior to failure. Loop and secure the excess extended cable around the DP lifting handle. Utilize the now installed cable extension female plug for solar input. In this configuration the solar input on the DP is never disturbed and were it to fail and fall back into the unit you could still input solar power. Problem is, I cannot find a XT60i male to female extension, only a XT60 male to XT60i female. Per your video it seems the " i " is important. This is all I could find - "GELRHONR XT60i Extension Cable 1M, XT60 Male to XT60i Female Connector Cable" Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you!

Has anyone had this issue with the Delta 2 Max? It has double XT60s, I'm hoping the attachment method inside is more secure.
