@@pwuuri6758 How far from you are they though? Skeleton Recluse makes a good point, I knew a few people who lived on farms like that too and it just wasn't practical. But when we were 13 - 16 (I'm 26 now) we used to ride our pushbikes for like 10 - 15 and on really messed up days up to 18 Kilometre's to the next town to see a friend we wanted to see. I think a lot of it is the laziness of the current generation. We'd be sweating and exhausted and shitty and annoyed and tired and complaining the whole way, but before phones and screens took off, it was either that or stare at the wall So many of the best memories come from the shittiest and longest walks or bike rides. Back in the days before a phone call or GPS could save you. When you were lost as a teenager in 2008 you were actually lost lol.

@@vanyuuhi5665 i live a mile or two away from my close friends i agree that my generation is lazy , we've gotten so used to having everything on our phones even while growing up i never saw kids walking around in my neighborhood it was just my sister and i but i think that parents are stricter now , my parents have told me countless stories of their teenage years and it seems that they were usually allowed to go anywhere as long as the returned before the sun started to set while i wasnt allowed to even pick up mail at age 10 unless i had someone walking with me

As a teenager I probably could've jogged that far lmao I agree with you that parenting is stricter now, I am from Australia but a lot of my family are in the former USSR (Armenia) including my sisters and brother and even though it's more poor, there is no concept of pedo's or kidnapping, so it isn't uncommon to see 10 year old kids still play soccer in the street until like 9 - 10pm and you'll see one or two old people sitting nearby smoking or playing chess, not even watching them but it's just that more people are outside later and doing their thing so there's no fear of kids being totally unsupervised. Whereas in Australia there's a much stronger emphasis on stranger danger. The thing is, that stranger danger concept was still a strong one when I was your age and younger but I think a lot of parents still didn't quite believe it. My mother who is British, was very strict with where I could do and what I could do. but my father being from the Soviet Union and a village to boot, saw no harm in letting me walk 5 - 10 KM's (5ish miles) at age 9. I have conflicting feelings about it to be honest. I see the stranger danger phenomena in the Western World as a product of the weak and disgusting way the legal system and police treat it. Where I come from people who harm kids tend to die. In Australia/USA/etc it's basically a slap on the wrist for 3 months then you can go do it again with no repercussions. Parents are in a really tough situation, but giving their kids screens and phones is also a failing in my opinion. My siblings and I had to wait until we were 16 - 17 for a phone. I think my sister was like 25 or so when she got her first smart phone and she's a much healthier and better mother as a result.

@@josephcook6442 I can't disagree with you there. However, at the same time, I'm glad they made the later seasons. I do like the idea of having the characters in school, but I think the episodes could've been written better. I mainly dislike how the characters become increasingly unlikable.
