Ed Kowalczyk is easily one of the most talented artists who's ever lived. This song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, especially this version, where it's just him and his guitar. I love how he engages with the audience, too!

This acoustic version of the song, and I have heard him sing it many times, is without question my favorite. I have two little girls and the words of this song as well as his beautiful presentation resonates with me above any other song I have heard. Ed is and undeniable artist.

@@edkowalczyk6530 Wow Ed, I have been such a fan of your voice for so long. Your such a talented lyricist. This song hits home. Everyday I wonder if I’m doing a good job as a parent and this song has helped me stay the course. Guiding me and reminding me what an absolute gift and miracle children and family are. I would love to have the opportunity to see you perform live sometime in Ohio. You’re an inspiration. Take care! Much love!

Eddie singing directly from his heart - what a beautiful sound. I noticed a lot of the comments about faith but I honestly don't think it matters what my faith is, watching Ed sing from the heart like in this video feels euphoric and is a reminder to experience the Devine in everyday.

March 2020, I was stuck on the other side of the world from my family, and just realising what was going down with the covid virus, and realising I wasn't going to be able to travel to see them for some time, I was at work with the head phones on, missing my very young daughter, and this song came on the radio....

@alphacause I appreciate 100% what you're saying. God said, I've left my invisible qualities all over the world so man is left with no excuse. The draw to seek God comes from His mighty creation. The human body's Gods ultimate creation so when we see things, like life, mountains, a sunset it directs us to Him. However Ed is directly speaking of Jesus Christ who is that path to God. Search Ed Kowalczyk talks faith an theres an amazing video of His love for Jesus. God Bless and thanks for writing!

Ed Is Great Love the songs he's made him and the band. But the 1 thing I think is Great is his voice sounds just like the Album and I love that about a group. But don't change it I think sing it the way you always have just like the album. With all the synthesizers and voice machines his voice is WOW to me to just song and sing like he does there's nothing to it, I love that about him it's Magic to my ears. I love groups that can do live songs and sound just like it was when I 1st heard it. and he has that don't need to add anything he could sing without a mic and be just like it was the whole group was playing the song in a studio but it's not it's just him GREAT.

sort of. it's about a girl who decided to post her poetry and have conversations with music royalty online. she would sit up 1/2 the night talking with "them" and they were partying (as much as one can while online), but in the morning things were more sober and looking back, it was all wrong. at one point she turned to her faith and discussed it while online, because the guys got very rough with her online. and some thought why is she discussing God? 'tis the inspiration for this song. (oh, her heart was on the line, and she didn't know at the time who all she was talking to)

What I love about this song is that it demonstrates that true and noble "spirituality", for lack of a better term, does not come from any church, creed, or "holy" book. We achieve true transcendence by loving the things we have around us. We look at our existence here, and appreciate it as if it were paradise. There is no need to look for salvation in some otherworldly existence. Just relish in the beauty of a sunset or the radiance of a child surpasses any talk of Jesus or heaven.
@tlc67563 жыл бұрын
One doesn't have to compete with the other. The radiance of the son/a child goes hand in hand with the Creator and Jesus' teachings.

It is pretty pathetic that, based on the way you write, you actually relish in watching the supposed eternal punishment of people who do not believe as you do. I am sorry, but I would not want to live an eternity with a deity who would condemn someone to never ending torture, just because that person was skeptical of the claims made by men about Jesus and salvation. Such a God is pathetic, weak, and sadistic. Why would anyone, in their right mind, desire to be with such a creature?
@cleedence6 жыл бұрын
Drake Santiago you're spot on. You should do some studies on the words translated as "hell" and "eternal, forever, everlasting" and "punishment" etc and I think you will come to understand that the traditional view does indeed replace the soverign purposes of God with the cruel and carnal imaginations of men. In God's order and timing He will accomplish all that he set out to do and there will be no true rest until all have come to a revelation of who He truly is and therefore the ultimate reconciliation of ALL of his creation by means of the human experience. Contrast is a powerful means by which God will ultimately reveal Himself. Stuff man and his vain efforts to save himself using a million different recipes (denominations), and rest in the finished work of Christ. If you are a truth seeker I would encourage you to explore articles relating to "universal reconciliation" so that the true character of God and His purposes can be illuminated. Personally I found quite a few articles on www.theheroldofgodsgrace.org helpful and informative notably the works of A.E.Knoch. As with any subject youll have to eat the meat and spit out the bones but all the best on your endeavour to know God more intimately if that's what you so desire. Peace
