This song was my favorite last Christmas season. This year it's still amazing but hit's a little different. We lost someone important in the family and the line "I know there's been pain this year, but it's time to let it go" hits me right in the chest and brings tears to my eyes. Cherish your time with family this year, everyone. The first Christmas with them NOT there is a tough one!

This is such a healing Christmas song. Two year in a role, I experienced sad things. 2022 was my 1st break up and 2023 my mother passed away in a sudden way. But this song reminds me that Christmas is the time of the year that gives us motivation to carry on ❤

I remember a time when Elton public announced that he hates being featured in his music videos. But personally it's such a pleasuring seeing him here with Ed smashing out another Christmas song and looking very confident. It's one hell of a comeback. I genuinely think this will become a classic for Christmas' to come!

This sounds like a real collaboration of their styles the way it is written and produced. There are definitely Elton John aspects to this song as well as Ed Sheeran's style. Neither dominate in their styles and it really works well.

How funny I literally just said the same thing, I was telling someone about it and said you couldn't cut a define line between it but it's VERY Ed and VEEY Elton, a one for the ages I'll confess, love it or hate it it'll be played forevermore at Xmas since last year, everything has changed, this almost echos in the need for a new start and for that will, usher in a new era, and be forever remembered as one of the great Christmas classics! Perfectly well time (as you'd expect from these two!) Thank god no more sausage roll Xmas tunes for No1 Xmas songs!!!!

The first song i heard of Ed was " Shape of you " , it was one of the biggest hits , but when i started to listen to his songs more , his songwriting , like Joker and the Queen , using a deck of cards to tell such a lovely story in a unique way just makes my day.. I love the lyrics and Ed Sheeran's verbal art while Elton John immaculately plays the piano. The message couldn't be anymore true. "Next year you'll never know..." after losing my dad suddenly on September 9, 2021...this song managed to put a smile on my face and helped lift my spirits a little more.

My condolences on the loss of your dad. Same for us. This year we lost my husband's mom, a dog to bone cancer, a dog to superficial necrotizing dermatitis - very very rare, and our cat to esophagus cancer .

I love that despite Ed leaving Elton behind for each scene (understandable though due to how physical it is), when Ed *is* with Elton, he always looks at Elton and smiles broadly to include him. It makes Elton's presence feel less like he's just a singing prop and more like he's a friend. Also, that skimpy-clothed booty shake for the fans LOL Lovely song, guys.

honestly, its really hard to get the classic christmas music down, so many good christmas songs just fall short of being memorable just because the classics are so hard to compete with. this just feels like a classic christmas song. a perfect mix of catchy, cringe, and calming, makes you sing along even if you feel embarrassed doing so. elton johns voice is still just as powerful as its ever been. and ed has really grown on me. and damn do their voices mix well together.
