This was the song I was writing my suicide note to 3 years ago and all the emotions just came rushing back. I made it guys:) *Edit: hi guys. I just want to say thank you for everyone's messages. Big health scare this year. And still now I am uncertain of my health. But I do read each and everyone of the messages and they do help. On the low days especially, when everything just kinda hurts :) And sending out love to everyone of you who is struggling themselves. Know, life is worth it. To live, to dance, to run, to feel is worth the fight. 💜 *New edit. Hello. As of May 18th 2024 I was officially 2 years cancer free. Had a huge party to celebrate. I feel loved and take this as proof that it does get better. 💜

i can still vividly remember how it felt to hear this song for the first time. i used to listen to this constantly. i re-discovered it for myself after so long just yesterday. now, at age 26, a week before my wedding, i’m listening to this masterpiece again. the pain that i get when i was a teenager listening to this isn’t the same I feel now hearing it in 2023. Time really does change a lot. Many of the emotions this songs evokes for me now are the same but… somehow very different. I love that. I love Es Sheeran.

The first time I heard this was 11 years ago. I cried because of a situation I was in, and was battling with alcoholism as a poor coping mechanism. But when I watched the video I sobbed, uncontrollably from my soul... friends used to joke I was like Cupid, because I used to set people up on dates and match people well enough that a lot of my friends ended up marrying the blind dates I set up. I was happy for them, but also shattered in a way, because it’s so hard to see everyone else happy with people you matched them with, when the choice you’ve made literally makes you feel like you’re drowning every day, and nobody sees the pain you’re in. This video still makes me cry.

I feel you on this one. You do everything to make everyone else happy but when you come home and close the door your own life is close to hell.
