Never heard this full song ,but breaking my heart now. The words bring back so many memories and emotions.I was 15 he was 18, love at first sight, parents said we were too young. We proved them wrong,. 56 years we were married but he recently passed away and this song says it all.😢😢😢😢😢😢❤

Made a promise many years ago, that one day I'll meet her no matter how far we were. After many years, what was just a promise finally came true and when i saw her this song started playing in my mind. Hugging her felt like every single memory of us talking came flooding in within me. Wish i could stay with her for a long time but i had to go back which is far away from her. I want to see her again.... and... stay by her side and not worry about being far from each other again.

This one of those classic songs, well written and performed, that could have been released in 1965 and on the charts with Dusty Springfield or the Beatles and fit right in. People getting this today should feel lucky they can head out on the dance floor and dance to it while your young and need a song to capture your very own ritual of passage. Play it at your wedding reception, makes a great first dance song. Because it's honest.
