If the cop got wind that Ed was trying to take the piss out of him - there's nothing that an Good Ole Boy boomer Sarasota Sherrif would hate MORE than some "young prankster" trying to make him into a joke, when he's trying to be nice and "not a prude" - the cop's attitude could have changed really quickly. It could have gone from a friendly warning to handcuffs and an impersonation charge (that would obviously get dismissed, but not before causing a huge headache for both of them).

Yeah you could tell he really wasn’t a bad guy. He mentioned “coming close to impersonation” instead of trying to push them around about it. He also just asked about the truck being registered and all that without actually checking papers (unless they edited that out). He could have done a lot more but acted like a real person instead of a robot.

Comedy has hit an all-time high with this one! The two funniest guys on KZfaq in the same skit. I am glad the cop was really cool and didn’t act silly. Silliness was already mastered here. That is exactly how an officer should handle situations like this. This was much needed laughter today. I bet the little old lady enjoyed every second and whoever she told is really confused. Ed is on another level.

I will never understand why people make this comment. He has his own channel, right here, that you just watched. Why would you want it to be available at a scheduled time, with added commercial breaks, and run by some corporate stooges who try to carefully manage his content to ensure that it's "advertiser friendly"?

@king fuqurmahmen Then they should just buy merch. If they like him for what he does, why would they want him to change how he does it? TV and movie studios are notorious for trying to hijack creative control over things because of their own egos. I'd rather them just say "Hey Ed, I like your stuff." The only two options are not: "Sign a TV contract" or; "I hate him".

@@spartanalphamode2987 He'd probably make even more money if he were an investment banker instead, but that's not what it's all about, is it? The way that some TV executive would use Mumbles in a TV show would probably be similar to how movie producers have always used SNL characters in feature films. They'd probably ruin the character by putting him in a sitcom and giving him way too much backstory and missing the point entirely, like they always do. Ed Bassmaster is already in the perfect venue for what Ed Bassmaster does. If you want more people to know him, send links to his videos to your friends.
