My take on my modified Nite Ize Pock-Its Plus Utility Holster after 6 months of use. A great way to carry a cell phone, multitool, and flashlight all in one convenient package.

Most days I have too much crap in my front pockets to put my phone in them (it would be likely to get scratched too). At my work I am constantly whipping out my cellphone, flashlight, and/or multitool so on work days this it the best solution I have found yet. Its a little bulky but few people seem to notice or ask about it. Also I actually have a micro maxped organizer and it worked great for holding edc items & phone during airplane travel in a cargo pocket.

Thanks for doing this video. It provided me with all the information I need regarding the Pock-Its Plus. I'm definitely going to purchase it and mount it next to my shoulder on my messenger bag!

@StumptownBoy Thanks for the kind words. You are correct that my modification causes the phone to ride up higher than the divider, however even though I carry the phone (face in) it does not touch the multitool or the flashlight. What may not be obvious from the vid is that the top of the divider has a double thick "lip" or "hem". Just like the top of a jean pocket. This provides the necessary space to keep everything from rubbing. Absolutely zero scratches with ALOT of use. Drew

I sewed it up by hand since I don't have a machine. It took some time but I just did it while watching tv. After cutting it, it did not fray (and I didnt use a hot knife). I believe the act of sewing it kept it from fraying in the long term. I'm certainly no expert on sewing so if I can do it you can do it, you might want to get a thimble though to help push the needle through the thick material.

@TopCityGear Thanks for the reply. I've checked the dimensions on the flashlights, they are very similar. Good video, by the way.

@uangakisima I think they would fit although there might be some issues with the Lenser v2. First since the buttons are on the side I wonder if there might be some accidental button pressing going on. Also the Lenser v2 is apparently about 3/4" shorter than my Maglite XL50 and with my modification only about 1/2" of it sticks out. So the holster would probably have to be further modded so that the light would not fall completely down in its compartment. Hope that helps, Drew

@zanuha It is huge as it comes. If you shorten it like I did, it feels significantly smaller. Thanks, Drew

Excellent, detailed review, mate. I agree with your explanation for the length of the case, and love your modification (I carry some shorter LTG lights), but it looks like the modification causes your phone to ride up higher than the divider between it and your LTG Fuse. That could be another reason for the length. Does your phone hit against the tool and cause any scratching, etc. to the face (looks like you place your phone with the face in)? Great ending. "Feed me."

Great review! Can you explain more about how you did your mod? I don't know much about sowing, but I really need to do this mod. Did you use a sowing machine or can you do it by hand? Also, wont the nylon fray every which way when you cut it? Do you need to use a hot knife?
