So this comment is a bit late in coming but I hope it pops up in your inbox. I’ve wanted to front pocket carry a fixed blade but could never find the right one. After watching your review I contacted Gary and ordered one, the black and blue in 20CV. What a great knife! EDC this a lot now. Thanks to you I think I’ve found the right one. Also got to visit your homeland few years ago. My daughter lives in New Zealand and on our last visit, we spent a week in Australia. Beautiful country and we really enjoyed our short time there.

I have been waiting years for someone to implement what I see as the obvious solution for EDC fixed blades. This implementation is a good start but your "muscle memory" point is, I believe, unrealistic. The solution requires that the sheath be, effectively, a funnel. This means a tough thin plastic cover (similar to Mora's sheath) that goes over all or most of the outside of the pocket's lip and the same material needs to lay flat agains the inside, coming slightly higher than the outer lip. The downside is that it essentially sacrifices the entire pocket to holding only the knife and its sheath. The upside is it could be used more safely than the Creely design. I should add that your's is the most sensible and reliable knife channel on KZfaq. Much appreciated.

I have a folding fixed blade. It can go from regular knife style to gimlet knife ( punch blade) configuration. I say its fixed since it can't really close. It's most likely cheap trash but it's unique and so far has held up to what I've used it for.

I like the sheath idea; the metal clip is a secure holding design but; likely a pocket eater for sure. Most every pocket clip is too; sooner than later. If you can take a knife out and put it back quickly is handy. However; if you do it without cleaning the blade off before returning the blade into the sheath; any sheath becomes contaminated with bad things. You are able to clean plastic designed and (Kydex) sheaths easily; not so easy to do with leather ones. Super steel blades that make more cuts thru rope and still stay paper cutting sharp are impressive. This feature is only important if you have no means or knife sharpening skills. Most super steel knives are also harder to sharpen when dull. Compare an inexpensive Morakniv 511 to any knife you want. They costs less by far, they stay sharp for an ample time. They even stay sharp longer cutting softer materials like vegetables and meats. They are easy and fast to sharpen. The simple plastic sheath can hang on a belt, clip inside a front or back pocket and even clip to a shirt button. Plus you can wash the knife and sheath in hot soapy water and oil it for storage quickly. It is hard to warrant a custom made or high end knife costing a lot of money. People that use knives every day seldom use them. People that love collecting knives; don’t use them either most of the time. Extraordinary Knife Fashions don’t come cheap.🎇🔎🎇🎃

I have this exact knife, and I completely agree on all points. It's a very comfortable and well made little fixed blade. I'd like a way to carry it in the left front pocket but, considering the quality and the price, I get why there isn't a left handed sheath option.

I have dedicated kitchen knives, but otherwise we're doing similar tasks and carrying it in -pocket the same. I keep my handle inside, non-vjsabable, because (non-knife) people freak out easily.

My fixed light utility knife turned out to be the CRKT Obake. Although marketed as a sneaky, concealed defensive blade, I find it really handy on my fishing and hunting trips as a bird and trout knife. It comes in a plastic sheath with a rip cord that hooks onto your belt loop. You tuck it into your pocket or inside the waist band and a quick pull is what's needed to clear it from its sheath.

Bro! ... i could not agree more about how much less of a pain it is to have a smallish fixed blade. Most of the time around the house or just outside the house it makes so much more sense. I live on a dry dusty acreage in Canada and i've tried alot of combinations, but what almost always gets number one spot is my benchmade hidden canyon appendix carry. Religating superfeek to pocket toy, sausage cutter. P.S. I had part of a sentence above half written, and was attempting to use a partial acronym for everyday carry,... so, if you don't need to have the carry part of the acronym, the rest of it gets pretty sad.

I must have been asleep when I watched this last week. Well I did have my knee replaced in late September and I still on narcotics.LOL.Anyway I missed the importance of this companies production models.I like the blade size of the Mako PG series. Heck CPM Cruwear and Vanax Super Clean for $299 and CPM Magnacut for $269. Even the wait of 5 months isn't a turn off blade length is perfect for EDC. I had been looking at the Bark River City in Elmax but I heard there had been problems in heat treatment.I have been seriously considering William Collins Woodsman EDC in Nitro V with a 3.5" blade that scans ground and the scent 25 dollar price jump to 284. I think the steels in the Creely production models blow the socks off Many thanks for your timely video.

The trick to a good omelette in one piece is two frying pans on the go at once and you just dump the half done omelette into the next pan. Then make a taco out of it filled with bacon and cream cheese. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

I don’t think it’s *solved* per se, I’ve still got some stuff to think about. And a high-mounted sheathe with a utility clip, even a Kydex sheathe on the belt is pretty carryable. And hell , I can even pocket carry it since it’s one of my Cetas, and just slips right in. I’m still figuring out the production for those blades though, since I can’t get sheathes one hundred percent figured out. I’ll give an Ulti clip a try though for them!
