Great kit, I really appreciate that you take what you collected through the years and found alternative to all these fancy and pricey gadgets we can see in the standard kits... thank you very much for your sharing 😊🌿🌸

Flat sunglasses: next time you are at your eye doctors, ask for a disposable flat sunglass insert, free. They have them for patients that get their eyes dilated. Works great and just slips in behind your glasses. They are very dark. I have mine in the car for times when I find myself driving into the sun. Ultimate flat pack item!

Great video, I recently joined the cult of the Fanny pack and took a couple notes on what you carry. We have one 7 year old and another on the way so I’m kicking my dad gear up a notch. I like to carry a couple dog poo bags in the bottom of my pack for an impromptu trash can and an emergency blanket ya know for emergencies

I've taken to carrying a few doggie bags too! I don't usually have an emergency blanket on me unless we're doing a hike (they're in my car or my bugger bags). I've also added a fold up grocery sack though, and it's a GAME CHANGER! Instant tote to carry the random trip to the grocery or odds and ends picked up while out and about! amzn.to/3VZwhen

I really enjoyed this video and your approach to EDC. Being a dad is my most important job and Ozark Trail gear is often a very good value. Just subscribed to your channel

I really appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed this one! Still my daily with a few tweaks now. I might do an update in a few months because it has evolved a bit, like all regular edc 🙂

That’s a really good point.👍 If your every day carry does not evolve overtime, then it ceases to perform at its maximum. ⁉️ Looking forward to future video on your EDC. 😀

There are some awesome EDC (Easy Dad Carry) videos out there! It's been awhile since my kids were crawling, but 4 things were ALWAYS needed. Cleaning supplies (baby/yourself/the area), Snacks/drink (baby/you), entertainment (baby/you), caffeine (you). Glad this can offer anything and Congrats!!

Take a look at a SWAT T Torniquet. I keep one in the house. One in the car, and a spare one. The Swat T is so good a child can apply it to an adult.

I keep one in my EDC sling now, as well as the car, house, and first aid kit. Always a good recommendation! Thanks 👍

I actually bought both Ozark Trail fanny packs (that green one you have and this other black one) about 2 weeks ago just to see if I like the fanny life. I do have to say that it's better than the purse because it doesn't flip and flop when you're moving around or bending over. Love how I can wear any sort of pants and still have all my gear with me :)

I got the black one too! I do like that the inside main has two smaller pockets inside for organizing. I just like where the pockets are on the green one more for the type of gear and use I have. I like both for the mesh padding on the back to make it more breathable and comfortable against the body. I've converted the wife too! I've carried all sorts of packs and bags (though I can't speak to purses), and this really is my favorite type at this point. I'll probably move into something a little tidier and a few more bucks just for the comfort and internal organization, but these ozarks are surprisingly decent for anyone "starting out", or as a quick grab and go.

Great video with lots to react to: -Pill bags are a must! Amazon has huge assortment of sizes so you can nest tiny bags within small bags for organization. -I agree Superglue is clutch. I buy single-use superglues so I know they aren’t dried out. -Rubber bands are good idea, Appreciate the tip about using them for First Aid. -Another idea is having single-use blood clotting packets for really bad cuts. -I find Ranger Bands vs rubber bands to be next level. They’re more resistant to sunlight and deterioration. Get a variety pack because different sizes have different applications (holding your Altoids tin shut for instance). -I created an Altoids tin but found after 6 months it was rusting inside, so switched over to plastic container from RovyVon flashlight. -MaxLvlEDC has great compare/contrast video for Ozark Trail Multiforce, which made me a believer, been happy with it. -Maybe they’re in your EDC tin but didn’t see safety pins (good for splinters), duct tape (preferably Gorilla). -For cordage, paracord gets all the press but 100 lb micro braid cord or tarred bankline can be more practical (and compact). -Last thought: laminated index card with key phone numbers in case phone is broken/lost/out of power.

Pretty much everything you listed I actually have inside the first aide kit or tin 🙃 Although I still need to add the emergency contact info. That's a super solid idea! I've debated in different containers, and played around with some different carries, but I always come back to the tin because I like the idea of being able to start or have a small fire or boil water/cook in it in an emergency. I know that's pretty specific for me- but that's why EDC is neat. It's about what works for you!

Re Niteize quicktie: It is clutch! I use it to relieve the tug of face masks. I use it on a plane to create an iPhone stand or hang phone from table-clip.

The bag itself for under $10 it's great! I actually picked up the black one too now. A little smaller, but 2 pockets on the inner pouch for a little more organization. Budget is ALWAYS a factor when I think about gear. And when I save where I can, I don't feel bad about splurging on something like the Leatherman extension. Edit: Some of these fanny packs out there are outrageous expensive! I mean, I get that there are, in fact, some good quality bags, but come one. It's a fanny pack...

I agree you don't need to pay top dollar all the time but be careful if it's something you need to rely on. Secondly, probably should separate lens wipes and hand wipes, that would suck to mistake one for the other. Outside of that lots of good ideas, thanks for sharing

"...you need to rely on" This 100%! Never skimp on something you are going to or do rely on regularly. My first aid kit is always prepared (overly so), because I have kids that try to murder themselves as a hobby it seems And not a bad Idea on the wipes. Thanks!

Enjoyed the review, the Ozark Trail pack is really deceiving. It doesn't look significantly large but it's packed with lots of goodies. Very nice, practical and useful! Good advice on the economical aspect of the items. Building a kit can turn out to be really expensive if you purchase all high end items, which really isnt necessary. Look forward to the tin kit upgrade review. Thx for taking the time to review your kit and sharing some insight, nicely done. 👍👍

Glad you liked the video! The knife is the Civivi Baby Banter. $60 on a small blade, but worth every penny. The ear buds are Jlab go air pop? Maybe the pro. They're about $25 now when I see them. But also, fantastic buds I use every day all day.

This was actually just a $9 Walmart watch. Nothing fancy because I have a habit of absolutely destroying watches. True to form, I smashed the face out of this one recently actually. But If you can't stand to use, lose it, or break it, it's not worth carrying.

AUEAR, 3 Pack a.co/d/5UDnzsw I ditched the little plastic cases because they're a little flimsy to actually hang it by, but decenr for just storage. I use one almost every day at work and they're in all the family's hiking packs/go bags. Thanks for watching!

Not sure how this has anything to do with being a dad. I didn’t see anything for kids. Just seems like a EDC kit for a guy who happens to be a dad.
@ConansEasyDadCarry

You're not wrong that there isn't anything intrinsically "Dad" in here. I've since added a few small dinos and fidget toys. But, this is more supplies to get me thru my day, and also happens to have many functions for being with *my* kids specifically (6 & 8 yo). I mention uses for most items that I use, have used, or could use, for handling anything that comes up when Dadding. But that's kind of to my point- EDC is about putting together what is best for YOU and your situations. I'd love to hear what you carry or would suggest I add or ditch! We only are more prepared and more knowledgeable by sharing insights 🙂
